I wouldn't think too much of it,always best to train in an environment like the one in which you will find yourself fighting.

The bootlickers in the mainstream media said very little about the repeal of the Posse Commitatus Act. It was only commented on by us so-called nutters on conspiracy sites and largely ignored and downplayed by everyone else. Now we see exactly why it was done.

I agree OP. This would have never happened in the past. And they are not notifying the citizens about these 'trainings' which leads some people to freak out...and rightly so given everything going on. So I think AC has a valid theory.

I posted a thread about black hawks in Boulder 3mins before this one. Not until 2006 did I see any even close to a city, but on that year they were conducting missions within it. That year I saw two of them with full battle-rattle soldiers sitting with their legs out ready to air-assault off. They landed ontop of a building, went in, then came out with a man and a bag over his head. The next day the news says it was a training excercise. People have a hard time believing it and opening their eyes, but this is happening. Like it or not, this is our future.

I posted a thread on what's been going on in Syracuse NY - the TV stations even said local authorities were upset they were not being notified of military aircraft flight "training" going on there. And it continues. I drive into there and have taken some videos but my cheap phone won't transfer well.

People have complained and asked "Why are they doing this over residential areas?!" You know what they got? No answer and continual buzzing of KC-10's, attack helicopters, drones - to be expected, convoys clogging traffic....nobody cares anymore.

Re: When did it become accepted practice for our military to use our populated areas as their private training grounds?
I can't recall where I first read about this but our USA used to always do our most serious war training in foreign countries and it has been so long that I can't recall if it was the UN or our own Government's statement that said something along the lines of we needed to begin sharing the training on our own lands too instead or always doing in in foreign cities.

You might try doing a google search for the first serious US training program that I recall reading about.

It took place in a small population Texas town, I think near Laredo Texas. The only people that were told about it was the mayor and the fire/police and NO ONE ELSE! No citizens knew anything about it.
The morning they began training the town was getting blown up with fake bombs but they were still so loud that some of the elderly in the town suffered heart issues.
The helicopters, tanks, jeeps and bombs scared the town half to death.
The story did make new paper medias but I don't remember if it made Tv news media.

They tried to hush it up since it actually hurt old people and frightened children and no one knew it was going to happen and they started early in the morning.

Can you imagine being woke up like that at around 7am?

This all began years prior to 9/11 and google has too many military training articles for me to find it again. :/

Re: When did it become accepted practice for our military to use our populated areas as their private training grounds?
i do not remember in my 49 years the US military using populated areas...cities, suburbs, and small towns as their own training facilities!
why?
in my lifetime we have been in wars which would have included urban areas.

Black Hawk helicopters’ war games in downtown Minneapolis
[link to fromthetrenchesworldreport.com]
snip
Low-flying Black Hawk helicopters conducted military training exercises in downtown Minneapolis Monday night, hovering majestically outside of apartment windows of surprised local residents

hovered outside their windows and flew over the city

[link to www.youtube.com]

come on now....3AM Monday morning!

[link to www.youtube.com]

Black Hawk helicopters were first introduced by the military in 1979

they have been used in many battles for many years
so why now must they do this.

they are not having the residents leave...no they are just bringing in the heavy equipment.
low flying helicopters this time...
one would think training black hawk pilots how to fly in urban areas by sending them into a city...then have them fly down low in between the buildings is not very safe....
this is training...what if there is a failure with a craft....where is it going down? who is walking there or sitting in the building?

what are they doing....
training the people what to do when they see these kinds of operations in their area....and at the same time training our military for operations in these areas?

this is not a good sign.

OP You need to ask the right question.

The right question to ask is 'WHY do they need to use our populated areas as their private training ground?'

Everything has to "inch in" to gain public acceptance. Like sweeping the dirt under the rug...people will accept most anything as long as it's out of their heads and minds.

I"ve seen tanks and troops in Detroit in the late sixty's. Are they in preparation for major riots. Remember Xmass shopping will begin shortly, or maybe it won't. The reality of how fucked up the economy is will not be able to be hidden any longer. Good time for a false flag event. Soon very soon.

They built a new landing strip a few miles from my home a few years ago, at first, the air traffic was slow, now? Smh, damn near the entire day you hear helicopters going back and forth. For the first time EVER I personally witnessed 3 chinook helicopters heading East.. THIS IS IN QUEENS, NEW YORK!!!! Something is definitely going on!

Re: When did it become accepted practice for our military to use our populated areas as their private training grounds?
Okay, so I'm not trying to shill here... but ah... are you serious?

The military is using populated areas for PRIVATE training? I could take issue with that statement all day.

Also... I have personally (along with tens of thousands of others who have served in participating JSOC units) 'invaded' LAX's cargo terminal twice in my life in simulated combat jumps into a 'high density urban environ'. There are only so many times one can use Wheeler Sac Air Field as a target for training... eventually you have to train as you would fight, and that means annual training exercises in real world environs.

So, where have you been?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 22025063

stop right there!
no no the US military does not have the right to freaking bring their freaking high freaking tech toys, tanks, and freaking BLACK HAWK freaking helicopters into my city...on my block.

NO....FREAKING NO! NO just NO.

we did not need to do this during WWI or WWII
or for any of the missions we did in Europe or anywhere else in the world over the many years.

so now because we are invading cities in the middle east....we need to play war games in FREAKING DOWNTOWN Minneapolis? NO!

if this is because the need to train to become the oppressor / occupier of yet another county....then....
DON'T GO THERE!

OR then kindly return the FREAKING 170 million dollars for the new high tech mock city where they can even land FREAKING black hawk helicopters on the roofs!
please give it all back!

what is going to happen the first time there is a equipment failure and one of these high tech toys takes out a building?

this is America......
WHERE THE FREAK HAVE YOU BEEN.

Re: When did it become accepted practice for our military to use our populated areas as their private training grounds?
and yes, i also thank goodness this is pinned.
go see photos of "lowertown" saint paul.
this is where they were also flying helicopters around, landing on rooftops.
this is a little residential area with a farmer's market and restauraunts and a park in the middle that everyone takes their children to. it is VERY VERY NOT a place that makes any sense to have blackhawks and such whipping around apartment buidlings and landing on rooftops.
i wish you could all see this neighbourhood so you know what i mean. these are not tall buildings. 5 stories or so except one apartment complex which is much taller. but mostly it is converted warehouse space apartments and condos. so these things were flying VERY low. my friend lives on the 3rd story of a building and he was freaked out by how low they were flying. this is a person not normally freaked by stuff. all my friends in that neighbourhood were freaked out. like i posted a few days ago in here, one helicopter was hovering by someone's window for 1/2 an HOUR in the MORNING. not cool.
