What does the word 'replenish' actually mean? Replenish = to fill up again; to restore to the FORMER level or condition; to RE-PEOPLE!! What did "God" do to the earth and its people that he gives the command to REPLENISH it? THINK PEOPLE!!!Dammit - THINK!!! Then it goes on to say that our Earthly Mother needs to be SUBDUED! What does 'subdue' actually mean? Subdue = Overcome or bring under control; to bring under control by physical FORCE. Wouldn't a caring, loving god tell the people to honor and respect Mother Earth and take care of Her? What kind of god tells the people (indirectly) to rape and plunder Mother Earth (subdue)? Near the end of revelations it states that the earth shall be reaped. And after all is said and done, a new Earth is created. |

Wouldn't a caring, loving god tell the people to honor and respect Mother Earth and take care of Her? What kind of god tells the people (indirectly) to rape and plunder Mother Earth (subdue)? I have the answer to your translation question. Consider the Douay Rheims Bible as a superior and Original English Bible, more perfect than the KJV. It reads: And God blessed them, saying: Increase and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it, and rule over the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the air, and all living creatures that move upon the earth [link to drbo.org] Notice the word "fill" is used, not "replenish". Now, let me show you Genesis 1:28 in Latin Vulgate: benedixitque illis Deus et ait crescite et multiplicamini et replete terram et subicite eam et dominamini piscibus maris et volatilibus caeli et universis animantibus quae moventur super terram [link to www.latinvulgate.com] The KJV team translated the Latin root word "replete" as "replenish", but DRV says "fill" the earth. Obviously, the KJV team took the R-E-P from "replete" and wrote in English "R-E-P-lenish", now, perhaps in the early 17th century, "replenish" did not mean "to fill again what was lost", as it does in Modern English, perhaps it only means "to fill". If so, then KJV is fine, but again, look to the Douay-Rheims any time you have a problem with the King James Version. The Douay Rheims includes the Books which the Church included in its Bible for centuries. Remember, these were trying times which saw the Church of England break away from the original Roman church. Also, let's get back to the Latin "replete", consider what the word means today. It ONLY means "to be filled". If something is REPLETE with tomatoes, it is FULL of tomatoes. 'Replenish' means just that - to replenish what was destroyed in the upheaval of the the first earth age. Using the same souls (but different bodies) as in the first age. The Bible does not refer to earth as mother earth. (You made that up) The earth is not out mother. God created this earth and He plans to renew it at the end of this (second) age. We can do NOTHING to harm it that God can not repair. |

The more you indulge, the more you volunteer. If your going to talk the talk, God is going to ask you to walk the walk, or your hypocracy will be your downfall.
