The Guard saved a lot of lives during this storm. So did deputies from other parishes and individuals (neighbors) who risked their lives to help one another. People from LA, MI, and AL are special people when it comes to takin care of each other. OneLOVE soulJAH |

I don't really want to see the dam break anyway whether intentional or if it breaks. They are going to breach the levee behind Plaquemine's Parish too. |

Yeah I know, is that to empty what flooded in or to let more in, really sad whats happened over there. |

Probably wrong, but on the surface, based on what I have been able to glean so far from the disjointed news coverage, it appears that way. |

How unfortunate for some rulers when men, women, and children continue to think... Probably wrong, but on the surface, based on what I have been able to glean so far from the disjointed news coverage, it appears that way. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 20889314 Mary Landrieu was sharin yesterday on WWL New Orleans, how she had been trying to get funds for Plaquemines - Grand Isle and how no one was listening to her. I also shared with my partner - we recently moved from NOLA - how the improvements for NOLA held up well, seemingly at the expense of the rest of LA. Or, because NOLA's improvements held up so well - we are seeing where work needs to be done in the rest of LA. Ironically, I heard that the water around the damn in Tangipahoa was to be drained on Monday (Labor Day) to work on the damn - WWLTV broadcast earlier today. (I did not record this - so no link). Well spotted observation. |

I demand Anderson Cooper, wearing a PFD, in a boat piloted by a hot redneck from the Cajun Navy, running live segments interspersed with CNN's much loved doom music. [link to www.youtube.com] |

Six Six Six User ID: 3753361 United States 08/30/2012 06:45 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I'm seeing lots of videos of houses under water on the Weather Channel, people are saying it's worse than Katrina. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 20586262 I don't want to seem morbid... but... There seems to be a 'COVER UP' of how many people have died. I'm seeing with my own eyes... houses and towns completely (and partially) underwater. Alot of people STUPIDLY did not evacuate these areas. I find it hard to believe there is not a large death toll. Especially when you include all the downed trees and powerlines as well. There seems to be a media blackout of these facts. Same thing happened with Katrina. Bodies floating and the majority of the world didn't know and didn't care. Last Edited by Six Six Six on 08/30/2012 07:03 PM Biko |

Bridging the gap between "It can't happen to us" and "We're all going to die". |
