i swear i saw wormwood last 2:30-3 am in my telescope - massachusetts
it was north to northeast facing in massachusetts it was barely above the tree line. i could not see it at my house but to a spot with little trees it was clear as day.

it looked like a fiery far away meteor to the naked eye that moved horizontally very slowly across the sky, not in the slow circular type motions stars make across the sky.

i ran home, got my telescope, threw it in my trunk and drove to this spot. i watched it for 30 minutes until my eye through the telescope started to feel annoyed.

i swear to you i saw another solar system spinning in its own direction, a cloud of dust moving around the star, looking like a river of dust in all directions slowly moving towards the center of the star and getting sucked in. the star itself looked like a fiery ball with the flame shooting towards one end like a meteor, but with a bigger hotter slower moving flame. the dust that formed around this star had a slight cross shape to it, i couldn't figure it out. only i could see this entire cross turning very slowly in its own way, i realized i was looking at another solar system!

It just so happens that wormwood is the name of an album by MARDUK...
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Ephesians 6:12

no way man the detail of what i saw was mind boggling, i couldn't believe it either.

i kept telling myself the "dust" i was seeing being dragged into the star were clouds, but there were no clouds in the sky, the dust was in the same focus as the star, and after a long period of observation it was consistent, it was not clouds and it was definitely another solar system.

it was pretty low, i didn't put my fingers up, i just know if there are any trees in the way of the sky your unlikely to see it.(though it was above a few trees that were fairly low on the horizon) just most trees blocked it around my neighborhood... i was up really late and i heard some other people talk about this so i figured id go look.

it was northeast i believe, but im just guessing i didn't have my compass on me.

make sure you get the focus right and LOOK FOR THE DUST FLOWING LIKE A RIVER in all directions into the star! it took my eyes some time and adjusting to see it, but when i saw it, it was obvious, can't see it without focus correct.

Double Cluster in Perseus probably, also could be Andromeda Galaxy but that be more East than N. East although rising it may be more to the North. Winter stars are starting to come up at that time also and will be around for awhile with Sirius to the South and Orion Nebula to the Southeast and all of that.

i think its impossible to answer that with the eyeball. it was just so creepy to observe what looked like a far away meteor sun... the flame was on the right hand side of the "sun" the flame moved really slowly but clearly and always on the right hand side like it was hurtling towards something. the whole object i was looking at (more than the sun) moved in a circular motion, i felt like i was looking at a 3 dimensional cube that was shaped like a cross. its really hard to describe but it looked like a giant cross cube solar system moving in its own circular motion
