Aug. 29, 2012. 2 super-hi-energy particles detected by IceCube, massive neutrino telescope, S Pole Work began by the Siberian Lake Baikal to create a unique gamma ray observatory, which will span 100 square kilometers in one of the world’s cleanest places, researchers said on Sunday. The expansion will make Tunka the only research center in the world to simultaneously study all kinds of cosmic high-energy gamma rays, including neutrinos, gamma quanta and atomic nuclei, Arguchintsev said. The information contributes to our understanding of the evolution of the Universe, he said. [link to en.ria.ru] Last Edited by Digital mix guy on 09/04/2012 02:47 PM |

Aug. 29, 2012. 2 super-hi-energy particles detected by IceCube, massive neutrino telescope, S Pole Construction of Rs. 1,300-crore underground observatory in Theni district will start next year An action plan is ready to establish a major research laboratory in Madurai for detector development meant for the ambitious Rs.1,300-crore India-based Neutrino Observatory(INO) project coming up in Theni district. The Research and Development lab in Madurai will be a national facility that would be the nodal centre for the underground INO project. [link to www.thehindu.com] |

Aug. 29, 2012. 2 super-hi-energy particles detected by IceCube, massive neutrino telescope, S Pole related? We have observed a very unique emission of radio radiation from the centre of our galaxy, the Milky Way. By using different methods to separate the signal for very broad range of wavelengths, we have been able to determine the spectrum of the radiation. The radiation originates from synchrotron emission, i.e. electrons and positrons circulating at high energies around the lines of the Magnetic Field in the centre of the galaxy, and there are quite strong indications that it could come from dark matter," explains Pavel Naselsky, professor of cosmology at the Discovery Center at the Niels Bohr Institute at the University of Copenhagen. Aug. 29, 2012. 2 super-hi-energy particles detected by IceCube, massive neutrino telescope, S Pole I have always heard them describe neutrinos as a partical in another demention. It doesn't really interact with our world traveling threw us without hitting our atoms, like a different frequency. So if there being detected stronger are they changing frequency to our world or are we changing to its ? "We're all in the same game; Just different levels. Dealing with the same hell; Just different devils" |
