Perfect! A grammar thread. Need some help too.

Does this sentence need commas?

Mark from accounting dropped off the report for the new manager.

If so, type it the correct way.

Mark, from accounting, dropped off the report for the new manager.tomato
 Quoting: BatMom

This depends on whether Mark is sufficient to identify the person completely or not, no?

I don't think it needs the commas, but there's nothing wrong with them.

yes.

If the sentence was written: 'mark from accounting' then it would be classed as an 'adjective'(adjective meaning a describing word) rather than distinguishing that there was a 'named' person 'Mark' in the descriptive sentence. If it was meant as 'the name' 'Mark' then it will of course, as with all names and indeed names of places start with a 'capital letter'.

The biggest annoyance to me is when people use the damn comma in "its" when it's used as a possessive
 Quoting: Oh Tits

You make no sense!

The word "it's" (posessive case) SHOULD take an APOSTROPHE—NOT a comma!

You is failing our nasty system you moran!!

Grammar. Yes. I didn't get forced to go to school for the best part of 20 years to let lazy people annoy me.

hmmm, not sure. The question asked how many grammatical errors the following sentence had. It was written as:

Mark, from accounting, dropped off the report for the new manager.
