Anonymous Coward User ID: 7703623 Canada 08/30/2012 10:50 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | There are bad dogs of every breed. These dogs need to go, just like any other dog of any breed that attacks for no reason. Quoting: tiger1 they are banned in my city. And they are gathering them up,locking them in pounds. And throwing away the key. It's just as well. Golden retrievers might have bitten more people. but there is way more retrievers then pit bulls. And yet which breed do you hear kills and maimes more? Not the retrievers. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 21095746 Sadly, Labrador Retrievers is currently of the most popular breeds in America and are cranked out without regard to breed standards and many do not adhere to breed standards. We have a neighbor with a male Labrador Retriever next door that decided it wanted a piece of my Anatolian Shepherd puppy and my dog came close to killing it. Although the neighbors have installed a fence the Labrador Retriever becomes so riled that it comes close to attacking the fool’s children when my dog walks by and the owners are oblivious to the aggression exhibited by the dog. Labrador Retrievers should not be aggressive to other dogs by AKC standards however when people breed a popular dog the careless breeders do not care what they produce. So yes, a Labrador Retriever could be more dangerous than a properly bred Pit Bull. |

I have a Staffordshire Bull Terrier who is as gentle as a lamb. She loves everyone, and sleeps with and grooms our cat. It is not the breed, it is the deed and the irresponsible owners who are the problem. Over the years, we have personally experienced several dog attacks. Years ago, a Chow/Collie mix almost killed our Chesapeake Bay Retriever, and a Great Dane/Boxer mix seriously injured my Staffordshire Bull Terrier 4 years ago. The Chow/Collie mix, who had a history of killing other pets and attacking people, was put down. The Great Dane/Boxer mix was quarantined, and the owner was fined. Praise God from Whom all Blessings flow !!! |

Yes because they're illegal in the province of ontario. And the cities have to enforce the law. If tea cup poodles were banned from the Province. Then there would be more of them in the pounds. Then any other dog. |
