Lots of the young men in our family are in the military. 2 Air Force, 1 Marine, 1 National Guard and 1 Navy. I can say the Air Force and the Navy are making preps for something. The Navy is changing over some of the birds for deep scanning capabilities and the Air Force is sending the B-2's with the bunker busters out. I would think the two go hand in hand.

Look at history for a little different point of view. Europe has been beating the crap out of each other for 1,000s of years, with rocks and sticks. We come along and disarm each country and force them into NATO which is a counter balance to Russia.

From my point of view, the only reason we do what we do, is to keep WMD from being a part of any small scale war. How long do you think Europe would last if America did not police WMD, based on my views? How about 10 mins. Then it would spread to us and we are all dead, mother, babies, everyone.

The US now has a carrier off the Syrian coast as well as many anti missile packages. Seems some are quite prepared to see this battle take place within the next 72 hours.

I think the reason that carrier is there is to try to make it all stop if WMD are used. Stop, by bombing the crap out of everything. And, hoping that non of those WMD are headed to Israel.

The part that concerns me are the Russians, and the on the ground Russian advisers. We start dropping bombs and sending in cruise missiles some of them are going to get.... hurt or worse. What do the Russians do??? That's the big question.

I wonder what the rest of the world thinks of the way we have handled the middle east over the last few years? Maybe a question for Gerry?
