Syrian rebels give airlines '72-hour warning' before they plan to seize civilian airports

The 72-hour period begins on Saturday, September 1, the FSA told Asharq Al-Awsat, the major pan-Arab daily newspaper based in London.

The FSA believes that Syria's civilian airports are being used to support pro-regime military operations.

Official: Obama will make Bibi pay after elections

"The US elections are in two months, and there is no doubt that President Barack Obama, if he is reelected, will make Netanyahu pay for his behavior," said the security cabinet member. "It will not pass quietly."

Other officials in Jerusalem said Washington is trying to send a message that Israel will not drag it into war, certainly not before the elections. The Americans were enraged by Israel's repeated threats to launch a solo military attack on Iran's nuclear sites, and top US General Martin Dempsey's recent statement that he does not "want to be complicit" if Israel chooses to attack was carefully worded.

Israel to go nuclear, Iran to go back to the stone ages!

Again, I think a few smaller EMP packages, non nuclear, could do the job. I just hope Bibi and Barak are willing to do it and are willing to ensure the World and especially Americans know that the reason the attack had to happen was due to the failure of ALL US policies over the last three years to even try to stop Iran. And leave a message to the Iranian people to send all bills to Obahmah for cleanup as he failed the World and the Iranian people when they tried to revolt!

Simple RF Weapon Can Fry PC Circuits
Scientists show device that could make the electromagnetic spectrum the terrorist weapon of choice.

ABERDEEN PROVING GROUND, MARYLAND -- A weapon built out of parts from any electronics store can deliver radio frequency radiation that can burn out electronic circuits within seconds, according to a recent demonstration by scientists here.

Many government officials fear terrorists could use the simple device to disrupt computer networks or paralyze electronic equipment. Because of its small size, the weapon could be stowed in a van or briefcase and used to wreak havoc on government offices, hospitals, airports, or other targets.

The device, assembled with commonly available components, delivers quick, powerful bursts of RF radiation. Just about any unprotected electronic equipment is at risk, including PCs, home security systems, police scanners, and medical and air-traffic control equipment.

Businesses can protect their computer networks by using metal product enclosures on hardware and radio frequency filter lines on power lines, says Randy Bernard, vice president of Schriner Engineering, which built the device for a demonstration to government officials. Also, Bernard urges businesses to keep an offsite data storage area to back up materials that could not be protected.

"For the guy at home in front of his computer, I'd say don't worry about this," Bernard says. "But if your business has something to lose, then you might want to pay attention. It may not be an immediate threat, but it's something you should keep in mind."

But the demonstration is a wake-up call for government and others in technology industries, Bernard notes.

Equipment Crashes, Croaks
"Our whole nation is vulnerable," says David Schriner, a weapons specialist and engineer who codesigned the radio frequency device. "We dance along with all this high technology, and we're very dependent on it. But if it breaks, where will we be?"

Israel Needs A Preemptive Nuclear Strike Against Iran

Evidence of Iran building nuclear weapons.
After Iran stated that it will "wipe Israel off the map" Israel must now act to defend herself.

I don´t believe Israel will attack Iran with nuclear weapons - It will lose any international support and it will encourage Iran to make the nuke bomb... and this time the international community will do nothing.

Israel is against nuclear weapons in the ME(They have said they will not be the first ones to introduce a nuke weapon in the ME) and they attack with nuclear weapons??? - Nonsense, not going to happen(At least if Israel is reasonable).

White House claims ‘cooperation with Israel has never been closer’

Press secretary hits back at Romney comments, says Obama is adamant ‘that we must prevent Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapon’
By Ilan Ben Zion August 31, 2012, 11:17 pm 148

The White House on Friday dismissed statements made by Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney on Thursday that the Obama administration had “thrown allies like Israel under the bus” regarding Iran’s nuclear weapons program.

“Cooperation with Israel between our military and intelligence communities has never been closer” under the Obama administration, White House Press Secretary Jay Carney told reporters.

Israel could go it alone scenerio:

Just some thoughts not entirely thought out but would love some input. I'll keep it short.

1) Russia gets Georgia.

2) S Korea takes out pesky N Korea with our help. China wouldnt mind, I think. Good trade prospects. China may insist on Taiwon, though. (sticky wickit there)

3) USA in Afgh along with India keeps Paki in check. Drones are already in Paki.

4) USA in Hormuz region keeps straits open, could wipe out Iran navy if attacked, protects Saudi, and helps keep Egypt in check. Everyone would support this defensive posture.

5) USA in Med helps with Egypt and Leb.

6) Turkey vs. Syria????

Now Israel could go 1 on 1 with Iran (still a tough nut) and if Iran steps out of that direct conflict we have the right to protect. Also, anyone who would help Iran is held at bay. USA is not defending Israel, only the WORLDS oil.

I think Russia and China would go for this. It just came to me last night. I would love some feedback. You all have studied this and I'm sure you can tear many holes in it. Please do. I won't be offended.

Israeli attack before this UN meeting???

Netanyahu urges international
"red lines" to stop Iran

[link to uk.news.yahoo.com]

JERUSALEM - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu urged world powers on Sunday to set a "clear red line" for Tehran's atomic activities and said they had failed to convince it of their resolve to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear arms.

Netanyahu's remarks suggested a growing Israeli impatience with its main ally, the United States, and other countries that have been pressing him to give diplomacy and sanctions more time to work and hold off on any go-it-alone Israeli strike on Iran.

Netanyahu has said he will speak out about the dangers of Iran in an address this month to the U.N. General Assembly in New York. He is also expected to hold talks with Obama during his visit, but no announcement has yet been made.

A senior Israeli official told Reuters last week Netanyahu would seek a firm pledge of U.S. military action if Iran did not back down on uranium enrichment. Such a promise could dissuade Israel from attacking Iran alone, Israeli officials have said...

Netanyahu tells ministers to reduce international travel, except for China

“I’m asking you to cut down on the flights abroad and take only the most essential trips,” said Netanyahu during the meeting. “We want to set an example for the public. Only one place is an exception and that’s China – you can travel there as much as you like.” China is a huge market for Israeli exports, so ties between the two countries must be strengthened, he explained.

A most pragmatic scenario. I wouldn't place bets on Georgia though. You also left out Syria. My take is that the only thing O can substantiate is the closing of Hormuz. The Iranian gov is just CRAZY enough to react in this fashion giving the US its excuse. The other bet is that they will retaliate against US Bases which will bring an immediate and devastating response. What I fail to comprehend is how 74 mil Iranians can be stupid enough to allow this to happen. Especially the PERSIANS who have little or no representation in this Gov and hold nothing but disdain for the cuckoos in charge!

US CIA chief Petraeus arrives Monday to cool Israeli ire

DEBKAfile Exclusive Report September 2, 2012, 7:27 PM GMT+02:00)

President Barack Obama is sending CIA Director David Petraeus to Israel in a hurry Monday, Sept. 3, in an attempt to quench the flames of discord between Israel and his administration on the Iran issue. He will fly in from a visit to Ankara Sunday, where too he faces recriminations for US handling of the Syrian crisis.

Israel has a double grievance over Obama’s Iran policy: Not only does his administration spare Iran’s leaders any sense of military threat that might give them pause in their dash for a nuclear weapon, but US officials are actively preventing any Israel striking out in its own defense to dispel the dark shadow of a nuclear Iran.

I know several Iranians who fled Iran and are proud of their heritage they hate the ARABS who have taken over. I would think the same would hold true for ANY REAL PERSIANS! These moronic ARABS in control do not really represent true Persians but by the same token it seems the true Persians are metro types far more ready to equivicate than take any real action unless forced into it.

Our German subs are none of your business, Egyptian navy tells Israel

In a statement published by Egyptian daily Al-Ahram, sources in the Egyptian navy denied that Berlin would torpedo the military deal with Egypt due to Israeli pressure, as was reported in Yedioth Ahronoth.

“The only two parties determining the fate of this deal are the German and Egyptian governments and not Israeli newspapers which try to destabilize security within Egypt,” a source in the navy told Al-Ahram, assuring the daily that the deal is proceeding as scheduled.

I put Turkey on Syria but have no overriding reason.
My thoughts were to create a way we can not back Israel but still be in control of the situation. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for standing shoulder to shoulder with bibi and fuck the entire radical muslim world. I just thought it was a scene that could play out (with a few teaks).

Thanks again

makes you wonder if they are also part of the problem, the mullahs go down who is to say they just won't prop up another group of sleazebags ready to pick up where they left off.

Thanks zilla. That's was what started my whole train of thought. O-shithead is a narcicist and can't stand Israel, but he can't avoid what's coming. This scene is something where he can save his ugly face.

BTW Russia is gonna want something to stay out of it.

The Angry Arab is reporting that unrest has returned to Jordan. There were large protests in Amman today over rising energy prices. The rumor is that the Moslem Brotherhood is behind the trouble.
