I saw that after I posted about the interesting people yesterday. It's been on several threads, I'm kind of surprised this thread didn't get it before.

I know they are. All the things about myself are common knowledge in several cities and states, and a country or two. That's the only reason I feel comfortable enough to share them. One thing that happened to me made it all the way to the p.palace and back via strangers within a year. The odd part was, the story hadn't really changed like you would expect.

Major-General Avraham "Bren" Adan, the IDF soldier who raised an improvised Israeli flag over Eilat in 1949, an act that symbolized the end of the Israeli War of Independence, died early Friday morning at the age of 86.

During a long and successful military career, Adan served as commander of the IDF's Armored Corps as well as its Southern Command, and served as Israel's military attaché in the United States. He fought in the War of Independence, the Suez Crisis of 1956, the Six-Day War and the Yom Kippur War.

Born in Kfar Giladi in 1925, Adan was also among the founders of Kibbutz Nirim and Kibbutz Gevulot, both in Israel's Negev desert.

Two decades later, during the Yom Kippur War, Adan commanded the IDF's 162nd Division, which beat back the Egyptian forces that crossed the Suez Canal. For five days in October of 1973, that division fought off Egyptian attacks before it eventually crossed the Suez Canal.

In addition, the division managed to destroy the Egyptian 25th Brigade in an ambush and encircled the Egyptian Third Field Army in a move that led to the conclusion of the war on terms that were favorable for Israel.

All I see here are mediatic lies pushing their own agenda to isolate Iran. It really amazes me how Netanyahu went from saying Iran has enough enriched uranium to build 3 to 5 nukes a couple of years ago, to saying Iran must be stopped before they get 90% of the uranium required to build a single bomb.

Iran already has the bomb. (More than a few)

Their facilities should have been destroyed years ago.

Military intervention would have made much more sense before many of their facilities were fortified underground.

It's to late to avoid a catastrophe in the region and elsewhere now.

Israeli/US use of force will require a tremendous undertaking.

Even an EMP might only do a certain amount of damage. I'm certain Iran has prepared itself for this as well.

Couple this with Hezbollah/Hamas/Muslim Brotherhood(Egypt) fighters and rockets sitting right on Israel's borders. As well as Terrorist "Cells" that are just awaiting the "GO" signal in Western nations.

This leads me to believe that unfortunately, Israel's only option in the end, will have to be their "SAMPSON" option.

It's to damn late. The genie is already out of the bottle.

The upcoming battle will not be limited to the middle east. It will be felt by all.

After Bibi's speech everyone thinks the timeline has been pushed out until next spring/summer.

There is no way Israel would attack Iran before the US elections.

That is what I'm hearing out in the world and also on a lot of sites.

So of course I fully expect an Israeli attack on Iran to happen right before the US elections!!!

I wouldn't be surprised if that's exactly what the do. Cause Iran to think they've got and little more time and then when they blink hit them.

With international attention switching from Libya to the mounting horrors in Syria, Mr Assad offered Paris the telephone number in exchange for an easing of French pressure on Damascus, according to Rami El Obeidi.

"In exchange for this information, Assad had obtained a promise of a grace period from the French and less political pressure on the regime – which is what happened," Mr El Obeidi said.

The claims by Mr El Obeidi, the former head of foreign intelligence for the movement that overthrew Gaddafi, followed comments by Mahmoud Jibril, who served as prime minister in the transitional government and now leads one of Libya's largest political parties. With more and more media outlets now reporting Pres Obama being re-elected all but a done deal, is it possible Israel strikes just to throw a monkey wrench into the equation. I think its pretty obvious while Bibi may claim to want to stay out of the US Presidential race, they (Israelis) would much prefer to have Romney in there.

Hey folks, been keeping myself scarce after an incident prior to the weekend on here when I let someone get under my skin a bit too much and I lost my temper. To those that know me well enough sorry you had to see that and that I exhibited that type of unprofessional behavior on here to begin with, I should know better.

On the ME front nothing new that is making me think something is imminent, then again the quiet is usually never a good sign. I guess we'll see in the next few weeks wether the Israelis will take the initiative and their future into their own hands or wether they will rely on an American administration that at best has shown them nothing but contempt and disregard for their security situation.

That's all for now as usual, I could be and most likely am wrong.

Understood -

This was once the "safe" or "clean" thread here. Seems in the last week or so it has also been inundated with many who are not interested in healthy discussion/ debate, but rather a continuation of the vitriol and some inherent need to spread dissension that thrives on most of the site.

That's why I, as I assume many others as well, have fallen back to reading the thread - sorting through the junk for updates - and just not posting much anymore.

Iran is suffering the effects of tough Western economic sanctions curbing access to its reduced oil exports, as the West seeks to force Iran to rein in its nuclear program.

"Iran is increasingly cut off from the global financial system, significant amounts of Iranian oil is also coming off the market," Nuland told journalists.

"The currency is plummeting and firms all over the world are refusing to do business with Iranian companies," she insisted.

"These are the most punishing sanctions we have ever been able to amass as an international community and they are very important for trying to get Iran's attention on the important denuclearization work."

Prior to the Irak war, irak was softened up by daily airstrikes.

If the sanctions bite, as said above in the article, it is like prior to the irak war.

Iran must know that, every day that passes, the chances of iranian action increases. The situation as is, is not acceptable, cannot be acceptable by any state.

Iran must do something to increase its leverage vis a vis the international comunity. The ball is on their side .... .

I read that, too. If that is really true, it would amount to a declaration of war by China. At least in my eyes.

A declaration of war???? I'd be interested to know why you think that. Whether they admit it or not I'm fairly certain that most civilised governments, the USA for one, attempt to hack into other country's secure systems / sites etc... without it being perceived as a declaration of war.
