I don't think the russians would get involved, neither China by the way. This may change in some years time. But right now I cannot see what interest they might have to do it.

Nuclear reprocessing technology was developed to chemically separate and recover fissionable plutonium from irradiated nuclear fuel.[1] Reprocessing serves multiple purposes, whose relative importance has changed over time. Nuclear reprocessing reduces the volume of high-level waste, but by itself does not reduce radioactivity or heat generation and therefore does not eliminate the need for a geological waste repository. Reprocessing has been politically controversial because of the potential to contribute to nuclear proliferation, the potential vulnerability to nuclear terrorism, the political challenges of repository siting (a problem that applies equally to direct disposal of spent fuel), and because of its high cost compared to the once-through fuel cycle.[5] In the United States, the Obama administration stepped back from President Bush's plans for commercial-scale reprocessing and reverted to a program focused on reprocessing-related scientific research.[6] Nuclear fuel reprocessing is performed routinely in Europe, Russia and Japan.

The problem with Morsi is that now that he is in power, he can feel it. He makes a big statement like this and he receives pats on the back from many in the MidEast and gets a direct phone call from Washington and most likely please hold for the POTUS> Talk is talk, but Egypt has the might to shake up the Middleeast, even if simply shutting down the Suez, moving tanks towards the Sinai, and allowing terror groups to launch missiles into Israel with no stopping them. That alone can cause panic and force Obama to talk kindly to sirael to get things over with. Morsi's paltform has been to take Jeruslam back and if I recall there was talk from the Brotherhood that Israel could be destroyed within 1 year if all arab nations joined in and that was in the last year.

With the additional 75,000 call up - they are setting the foundation for a two front war, if it comes to that. Posturing, no - Obama turned his back for one second and Israel is going to do maximum damage in the shortest period of time. The problem is, everyone involved, I'm thinking Obama, may be pretending to be smarter by two. And then find themselves sitting on Iran's doorstep without knowing/wanting it.

What's Iran's endgame for this war? Do they have the minisubnukes:

MM - this goes beyond Gaza and Syria/Iran and EGYPT get fired up - this war is not going to end like the 6 day war. The "ownership" of the ME might be changing from West to East.

So then both side are in a use it or lose it position.

If Hamas' terrorists and military infrastructure were based in Canada just north of the USA border, what would Americans expect from their government in the presence of cross-border attacks? Those who believe in freedom from oppression and tyranny must rise up and support Israel's right to defend itself and Her citizens. I pray for Israel, Her citizens and Her brave soldiers, and wish them Godspeed as they take any and all necessary measures to rid themselves of the scourge of Islamic terrorism.
