let's hope that falls on deaf ears MM. Whitehouse shares as much blame as Hamas if not more for allowing this to escalate to the level it has.

Israel succeeds at nothing if they do not go in as rockets will be fired again.

This isn't done yet, but there is ALOT at stake if Israel goes all the way in. Real risk of escalation beyond the borders and unless they ended up toppling Hamas (which IMO would require a reoccupation) not sure what the upside to Israel would be other than temporarily taking Hamas out of action until they figured out a way to re-arm.

If Israel agrees to a ceasefire right now, she will be seen as the big looser in the arab world, a paper tiger, and all its deterrence is gone.

It should be Hamas loudly crying for a ceasefire.

The result of this opportunity right now should be, that all self esteem and all proudness of any arab around is gone, and they are either dead or sitting on their knees and begging.

Nothing more, nothing less.

Israel is continuing to ready for a ground invasion. They do not appear to be backing down or slowing down. They probably have another 20 or so hours of softening the area with air attacks, then they will send in the D-9's followed by the infantry and tank units...I doubt if the requirements set out by the Israelis for a cease fire will be met. We just don't see the Israelis backing down now, they have spent a lot of time preparing for this exact moment. But then again, it is hard to predict anything, let alone the future!

If there is one lesson learned from 2006 it is this:

Take the gloves OFF.

By the #s, @IDFSpokesperson says 300 strikes today, busiest yet. Around 950 total. 710 rockets fired, 470 landed. Iron Dome = 33% success.

I do not dislike arabs. I dislike extremism.

And what they do in the arab world today is to teach and worship extremism: against women, jews, the west, all non believers.

The arab, who killed here in France in Toulouse the jewish children in the school, had a brother.
This brother said:
"My mother taught me to hate the jews".

You cannot live in peace with people like this, and we can not move on to annother stage of humanity with people like this.

Obviously, it will need a big change in attitude among the arabs. Which will be done, but the price will be high.
