that would be an insanely stupid idea It would be insane, but if there is no signed deal and Israel simply announces it will cease fire, then if additional rockets come flying, the political leaders will then feel justified to go on land into Gaza. Politics in war never works and never looks good.  VOILA! Officials: Israel will continue to negotiate ceasefireA security cabinet meeting on the attempts to reach a ceasefire in Gaza has concluded.
