The fake photos were probably someone trying to pass them off as real for a quick buck, not saying that some may have deserted their family or the war effort, but not 600,000 of them. My family had plenty of soldiers on both the Confederate and Union sides of the conflict. All of their graves are marked. There is NO DOUBT that the Civil War actually happened. Come to Perryville Battlefield in central Kentucky and I'll show you the bullet holes that are still readily visible in the trunks of very old trees that are scattered across the battlefield. |

I'll try to take some when I go over, the guy literally has buckets of confederate and union Minie balls, unexploded and fragmented shells, bayonettes, dead soldiers still on the land. Across the street is the Confederate Cemetary. Was eerie at night during the 4th of July with all the fireworks going off. They hold re enactment battles there every May.
