This is a save face thing they are going to strike Israel will strike soon and Obama will use it in his election as the savoir... Than when the right attacks him or someone attacks about going into Iran they can say hey we were against...
All the military power that is sitting there now says they support Israel... this is is insurance to play for political theater...
