If you ask me we are all to Blame, modern man is destroying this planet. Every damn hypocritical one of us. You can leave me out of that shit. I never approved sub-standard fission containment vessels. We are all related to this planets demise, in some form of way. To each is own... |

That about sums it up doesn't it, even with his radioactive waste. If you don't know how to deactivate radioactive materials, why would you bury them or sink them? If you can put satellites into deep space, then you can feed your star. That is well within your current technology and possible futures do not have to live with it. 7 Billion people on the planet! That's a BIG number! And I am one. |

You really did not think those child molestors cared about any of us? The plan was always to destroy us other than those needed to start the next crop of human food, every 7 billion humans and in come the meat wagons. Maybe that is what the killer hollow points are for, easier to feed on or whatever just like bad sci-fi on the cheap. It's obvious non-of these nations or leaders could care less about their citizens. The Russians have probably stopped. Nuclear testing: an insane amount of nuke bombs were detonated in the atmosphere, THE ATMOSPHERE, the air we breath. The Tzar bomb was so big it shattered windows in Norway... They didn't pop off another of those... Everyone is dying of cancer, 100 years ago it was very rare. Nukes, the worst thing man has ever done and we could have done it right! With Thorium! But NO the lunatics have to have weapons grade Plutonium fo bombs and Thorium reactors don't produce that. Fucking lunatics, everones dying of cancer... The sun doesn't cause cancer, it's the hot particle that fell on your skin and got stuck there or gets lodged in your lung or you swallow. Anonymous Coward User ID: 2164937 United States 09/02/2012 12:28 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Hanford Nuclear Reservation The Hanford site represents two-thirds of the nation's high-level radioactive waste by volume. Today, Hanford is the most contaminated nuclear site in the United States and is the focus of the nation's largest environmental cleanup...The most significant challenge at Hanford is stabilizing the 53 million U.S. gallons (204,000 m3) of high-level radioactive waste stored in 177 underground tanks. About a third of these tanks have leaked waste into the soil and groundwater. As of 2008, most of the liquid waste has been transferred to more secure double-shelled tanks; however, 2.8 million U.S. gallons (10,600 m3) of liquid waste, together with 27 million U.S. gallons (100,000 m3) of salt cake and sludge, remains in the single-shelled tanks. That waste was originally scheduled to be removed by 2018. The revised deadline is 2040. Nearby aquifers contain an estimated 270 billion U.S. gallons (1 billion m3) of contaminated groundwater as a result of the leaks.[61] As of 2008, 1 million U.S. gallons (4,000 m3) of highly radioactive waste is traveling through the groundwater toward the Columbia River. This waste is expected to reach the river in 12 to 50 years if cleanup does not proceed on schedule. The site also includes 25 million cubic feet (710,000 m3) of solid radioactive waste. [link to en.wikipedia.org] Then there is the Farallones Islands Nuclear Waste Dump Most of the dumping took place before 1960, and all dumping of radioactive wastes by the United States was terminated in 1970. By then, 47,500 55 gallon steel drum containers had been dumped in the vicinity, with a total estimated radioactive activity of 14,500 Ci. The materials dumped were mostly laboratory materials containing traces of contamination. Much of the radioactivity had decayed by 1980. [link to en.wikipedia.org] Then there are the thousands of "dirty bombs" of depleted uranium weapons used in Iraq and Afghanistan, and tested at various US bases. |

That means that with time it will completely decay leaving no trace of the original elements. Nature always has a way of cleaning itself up. Maybe at the cost of human life but limiting your exposure to sea water will reduce any risk of people getting any poisoning from radiation. |
