Being poor is not a risk in the same sense that business owners take a risk because when you are poor you have nothing to fucking lose.

Also, being poor is your own damned fault in 99.9% of cases. I have noticed that people who are poor are poor because of poor choices they have made and because they have failed to plan.

We do not need a public safety net in this country to catch the people who are too stupid or lazy to save their own asses that will be paid for by the people who do for themselves. That is what private charity is for. If private charity does not want to save your ass then too bad. The safety net we already have in this country has enabled generations of leeches to leech and survive off of those who do for themselves and since the safety net is there the leeches have no incentive to do for themselves.
