Satan’s great plan is to provide counterfeits for the major End Times prophecies in the Bible. These counterfeits will allow Satan to deceive humanity in potentially damning ways in these End Times.

To better explain Satan’s great plan of counterfeiting, let’s present an example. One of Satan’s counterfeits concerns the abomination of desolation.

In our article titled “Mt Hermon And The Counterfeiting Of The Abomination Of Desolation” we showed that Satan may build a physical temple on Mt Hermon in an effort to deceive humanity about the abomination of desolation. The Book of Enoch describes Mt Hermon as the place where the fallen angels entered into illicit relationship with human women (Enoch 6:1-6). The Book of Enoch is a clever piece of Satanic propaganda which Satan uses to promote deceptions. Satan wants Mt Hermon to be associated with evil because he may plan on building a physical temple there in an effort to convince Christians that the abomination of desolation will happen within it. Notice the similarities of the mountain names: Mt Sion and Mt Zion (Temple Mount).

The fact that the names are so similar sounding implies that Satan may sieze this opportunity to build a physical temple on Mt Hermon (Zion), rather than Mt Sion (Temple Mount). The rebuilt physical temple, as shown in the article “Ezekiel’s Temple And The Counterfeiting Of The Abomination Of Desolation,” will be used by Satan to create a counterfeit for the abomination of desolation prophecy. The real abomination of desolation will occur in God’s New Covenant temple, which is the church.

Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit lives in you? (1 Corinthians 3:16)

Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; (1 Corinthians 6:19)

The Old Covenant physical temple no longer has any relevance. God’s New Covenant temple has usurped the old. Since many Christians are unaware of the New Covenant temple being the church, Satan will seize this opportunity to counterfeit the abomination of desolation within the Old Covenant physical temple, which is a physical temple. Christians will mistakenly believe that, since a new physical temple is being rebuilt, this proves that the the abomination of desolation will, indeed, happen within this physical temple. This will take people’s attention away from the real abomination of desolation, which will happen in the spiritual temple. Satan will use Daniel 9:27, a passage which, contrary to what dispensationalist preachers would tell you, actually details Jesus’ sacrifice, to successfully deceive people about the timing of the abomination of desolation.

And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate. (Daniel 9:27)

This Bible passage is actually referring to Jesus, rather than the antichrist. The events depicted in Daniel 9:27 happened nearly 2000 years ago. Satan knows that most Christians are unaware of this. He knows that Christians think that this passage is referring to the End Times abomination of desolation which will be committed by the antichrist. Since this passage gives a date for the abomination of desolation (midst of the week), Satan can use this passage to deceive people about the timing of the abomination of desolation. The real abomination of desolation will happen 1.5 years before Christians think it will! Christians will be caught unaware. In a similar way that Satan has created a counterfeit for the abomination of desolation, Satan will also create one for the prophecy concerning the mark of the beast. In fact, the very fact that God leaves these End Times prophecies a mystery suggests that Satan’s plan, indeed, is to create a system of counterfeits. God uses the way that you interpret the End Times prophetic entities to judge your moral character. For instance, Mystery Babylon the Great is really Israel; Satan’s counterfeits are America and the Vatican. The fact that, with all of the information available on the internet, people could be unaware of Israel’s evil suggests that they would make a poor ruler in heaven. By letting Christians come to their own conclusions about the prophetic entities mentioned in the Bible, the wheat separates itself from the chaff.

The Book of Revelation is written figuratively. In a similar way that the “beast” is not a literal flesh and blood beast, and the “whore of Babylon” is not a literal flesh and blood whores, the real mark of the beast is not a literal mark.

And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: (Revelation 13:16)

The mark of the beast is said to go on the hand or forehead. We find that God’s seal goes in these same places. The seal of God is the antithesis to the mark of the beast.

The Bible states that God’s elect will have God’s” name” sealed on their foreheads.

And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him: And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads. (Revelation 22:3-4)

And I looked, and, see, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father’s name written in their foreheads. (Revelation 14:1)

What does it mean that God’s “name “will be written on their foreheads? Remember, Revelation is written figuratively. Thereofre, what does God’s name symbolize? God’s name is his word.

And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. (Revelation 19:13)

God’s word (his commandments) will be imprinted within the minds of his elect.

God’s mark is obeying his commandments. Notice that the commandments are said to be figuratively placed on the hand and on the forehead.

Now these are the commandments, the statutes, and the judgments, which the LORD your God commanded to teach you, that ye might do them in the land whither ye go to possess it: That thou mightest fear the LORD thy God, to keep all his statutes and his commandments, which I command thee, thou, and thy son, and thy son’s son, all the days of thy life; and that thy days may be prolonged. Hear therefore, O Israel, and observe to do it; that it may be well with thee, and that ye may increase mightily, as the LORD God of thy fathers hath promised thee, in the land that floweth with milk and honey. Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD: And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes. And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates. (Deuteronomy 6:4-9)

Therefore shall ye lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hand, that they may be as frontlets between your eyes. (Deuteronomy 11:18)

Keeping the commandments is a figurative mark or sign that goes on the hand and between the eyes. The forehead is symbolic of your beliefs, your faith and your mind. While your hand represents your actions and deeds.

I will lift up my hands toward your commandments, which I love, and I will meditate on your statutes. (Psalm 119:48)

Notice that Satan makes war against Christians who keep God’s commandments.

And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. (Revelation 12:17)

What about the notion that all Christians need to do is believe to get into heaven? Doesn’t faith negate the need to follow the commandments? “Do we then overthrow the law by this faith? By no means! On the contrary, we uphold the law” (Rom. 3:31). God’s law must still be upheld. Even in the future, God’s covenant will be based around the holy spirit guiding people into righteousness and the upholding of God’s law. “For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:” (Hebrews 8:10).

“Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked Him a question, tempting Him, and saying, Master, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus said unto him, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets” (Matt. 22:35-40)

Didn’t Jesus do away with the ten commandments by replacing them with only two? The two commandments being love God with all your heart, and love your neighbor. While this is true on the surface, upon further inspection one would be forced to admit that by keeping these two commandments you will be keeping all of the others as well. Jesus commands you to love him (Matthew 22:39). He later states that those who love him WILL be keeping his commandments. “If you love me, you will keep my commandments” (John 14:15). This important detail which is hidden from many Christians is repeated elsewhere. “For the love of God is this, that we obey his commandments. And his commandments are not burdensome,” (1 John 5:3). Therefore, in keeping Jesus’ first commandment of this new two commandment system, you will also be keeping all of the others. Jesus’ replacement second commandment is to the love ones neighbor. Upon closer inspection, this commandment also encompasses all of the other ones.

Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law. The commandments, “You shall not commit adultery, You shall not kill, You shall not steal, You shall not covet,” and any other commandment, are summed up in this sentence, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfilling of the law. (Romans 13:8-10)

Therefore, those who obey Jesus’ two New Testament commandments will be obeying all of the others by default. Jesus expects us to be familiar with his word. He expects us to dig deeper and find the greater truth below the surface of his passages. Those who study and are wise to God’s word will be rewarded with these deeper insights. These insights will help them stay on the correct path which will lead them to God’s heavenly kingdom. Therefore, those who have spent the time reading and absorbing God’s gospel will have the necessary scriptural knowledge to realize that the keeping of Jesus’ two New Testament commandments will automatically encompass the keeping of all of the old. Studying God’s word is its own reward. “My people die for lack of knowledge” (Hosea 4:6).

Within the New Testament, will we find that Jesus and his disciples indicate that the original ten commandments need to be kept? Yes. Read the article “You Must Follow The Commandments” for more information.

As we have shown, the mark of God is obedience to God’s commandments. The mark of the beast is the antithesis to God’s mark. The mark of the beast is disobedience. God’s mark is conforming to Jesus’ image and likeness. The beast’s mark is conforming to the image and likeness of the End Times kingdom which is characterized by rebellion and disobedience of God’s laws. The mark of the beast is conforming to the image of the End Times kingdom of the antichrist, who is called the “the man of lawlessness” (2 Thessalonians 2:3).

The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.Is there any thing whereof it may be said, See, this is new? it hath been already of old time, which was before us. (Ecclesiastes 1:9-10)

Things that have happened will happen again. These Last Days will be a mirror image of the situation faced by humanity in the Garden of Eden. Humanity will soon be given the same test that Adam and Eve were given. Remember, it was disobedience which caused to the fall of man. Satan led Eve astray through lies and deceptions. The choice between the mark of God vs the mark of the beast is man being given the chance to make that decision once again. Will we choose obedience to God? Or will we once again be deceived into disobedience by Satan?

And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. (Revelation 13:16-17)

The name of God represents God’s word or his Torah (Revelation 19:13). Therefore, the name of the beast is the beast’s word, the beast’s commandments and the beast’s laws. By taking the name of the beast, one will be conforming to the laws of the End Times kingdom which is characterized by its disobedience. Rather than being obedient to God’s laws, it will be obedient to the antichrist’s.

And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time. (Daniel 7:25)

In Revelation 14:11, the mark is specifically called the “mark of his name”: “And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.” Remember, name is symbolic of the beast’s word. The beast’s word is the antithesis of God’s word. God’s word is his torah. God’s word is his commandments. The mark of the beast is the antithesis of the mark of God. Therefore, the “mark of his name” should be interpreted as the “figurative mark of lawlessness.”

Now we know that the mark of the beast is disobedience. The Bible states that you will not get into heaven if you have the mark of the beast. Obviously, Satan does not want humanity to know what the mark of the beast is, because he is trying to deceive humanity. He doesn’t want people to know that the mark of the beast is the figurative mark of disobedience. This is why Satan’s great plan involves creating counterfeits for all of the End Times prophecies. By creating these counterfeits, he succeeds in hiding information that is necessary for ones salvation. Christians will think that they are safe because they did not take the microchip. Meanwhile, since they will not be thinking that keeping God’s commandments are necessary for salvation, they will not care that they are breaking his commandments. In this way, Satan will keep deceived Christians out of heaven.

Any physical mark of the beast is a counterfeit. I will cover the hexagram in an upcoming article. In this one, I will focus on the the microchip.

How could the antichrist cause men to take the figurative mark of disobedience? The antichrist will change times and laws (Daniel 7:25). Therefore, by being obedient to the antichrist’s new laws, one will be taking the mark of the beast.

And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. (Revelation 13:17)

To buy and sell one would have to conform to the antichrist’s new system of law. Therefore, by following the rules of the antichrist’s End Times kingdom regarding the laws of buying and selling, one will be taking the mark of the beast. Remember, the mark of the beast is obedience to the antichrist’s End Times kingdom’s laws.

Notice that the mark is always personally associated or symbolized in connection with the beast.

How is a biochip personally associated or symbolic of the beast? For that matter, why would God send you to hell for receiving a chip implant? How would that be relevant? Wouldn’t it make more sense for God to punish you for disobedience, which is something that he rants over and over about within the Bible? Remember, it was disobedience which caused humans to fall in the first place (Genesis 3).

And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. (Revelation 13:17)
