op just form an association..and everyone pitch in to adopt a fruit tree..you buy them..each one has their own tree..they water it tend to it etc..and the fruits all shared..

i was thinking that if people started to believe food was free, we'll have a much better lifestyle.

as for organization, i'm probably not the right guy to be doing that sort of thing. i just like to stay home and play video games.

There should be more fruit and nut trees planted but I think they should only be planted AWAY from city streets because street traffic contaminates produce with all kinds of noxious chemicals.

In a perfect world OP. I like the way you think. But others are too greedy and controlling. We are now fighting in courts just to grow gardens and sell our own products. Raw producers are being shut down daily. We are a nation of laws, not a nation of common sense.

good idea, every person in our area should be playing a honeycrisp apple tree in their yards, which are delicious and designed for zone 4 climates. People would eat more apples if they had the best tasting around.

And why limit it to fruit trees? What about free vegetables for everyone?

It's just that we're not free yet. 'They' want to tax us, control us, and have the option of having us die of starvation at a switch.

What you suggest would bring about freedom and plenty, thus not allowable.

It would also damage the perception they wish to create of 'scarcity' and that we need to ration.
