In local parks a community fruit tree garden can be planted
and don't forget Nuts and berry's bushes .

I agree and we could also have edible nature strips, planted with herbs lettuce and other veggies. We would all be far better off.

My garden is filled with fruit trees and berries, they're so expensive to buy but so easy to grow it doesn't make sense not too.

We used to have apple and cherry trees growing in our street and they were all cut down by the council because people complained about the blossom falling on their cars and causing staining. That disgusts me.

I was once friends with a guerilla gardener, he used to go to public land and parks and plant them up with fruit trees, onions, lettuce, carrots etc.. So people could help themselves.

People want free stuff that they don't have to do any work for. I bet if you offered a garden to some second generation welfare recipient and told them that they had to take care of it, weed it etc., they wouldn't do it!
That is what is so wrong these days with all the free stuff we give people!

Most of the parasitic trash I see in the neighborhoods that could really use the food won't even pick up trash from their own front yards, let alone tend to a fruit tree.

Tomatoes are technically a fruit.

This idea sounds perfect.

In fact, this is exactly what the green groups around the globe are trying to achieve.

But i don't our governments are supportive of this idea. In hong kong, for example, it is okay to emit as much as green house gases and toxins to the atmosphere as you want. But it is illegal for the public to plant any trees in the public areas. it is also illegal for bicycles mounted with electric motors to travel on the street.

As long as there are people that do not mind doing all of the

"work" your idea will work indeed. But in our "real" world, there will always be someone bitching saying that

they have worked harder or longer than the next person, there will always be someone that takes more than the

After WWII, here in Germany, it was encouraged to plant apple trees, cherrys trees, obviously due to the lack of food available. Today there are a lot of roads with Fruit trees running down either side. You just have to stop the car, get out and pick what you like. We also have a little garden where the previous owner planted loads of apple, cherry and plum trees. Great stuff!

A fake president running the fake economy with fake dollars while the main stream media distributes all the fake news. And then in between the fake news bits, the fake advertisers come on and promote their fake foods and fake pharmaceuticals, which are approved based on faked science, approved by the FDA regulators who are faking it too. Now we have fake people and topics on fake boards. It was never really about the economy...but about changing peoples opinions to a psuedo-reality version that the elite would much rather prefer. A lot of the stuff people see seems real to them, but it is fake and a symptom of a fake cause. We need to quit attacking the fake and be self evident real. That's all.

You're right. I remember as a child that there were fruit trees everywhere I lived. I could go out my door and have apples, raspberries, blackberries, grapes, apricots, etc. Now there is nothing.

I've started saving my fruit seeds and throwing them in the river near my house. They will find a spot to grow eventually and will hopefully provide future generations what I had.

i have a garden, and we planted fruit trees this summer. The thing about fruit trees (in Michigan), they have to be watched everyday or you will get an infestation from a moth or a disease from the soil and you have to spray appropriately at certain times to keep this problem from ruining the tree and ruining the fruit. You also can't spray at a certain time as to not kill the bee's that will pollinate your blossoms.

Fruit trees aren't easy.

I could see (maybe) smaller villages planting fruit trees in areas, but you'd have to have a budget for the upkeep of spraying, pruning, watering them. Also someone would have to pick up the spoiled fruit that dropped on the ground, because you don't want to mow over that or have spoiled food all over play areas and dropping onto your parked cars.

It is a little more difficult a plan to plant trees in public area's then just plopping the seed into the ground.

Then you got to think about the teenagers and hoodlums who would use apples as a bombs, and start throwing them at people or cars....
