Science has proven that an EMP is not a 100% efficient method. It still leaves many systems operable. Some will even go out momentarily, but they will restart, just like they did in Hawaii when we did Operation Fishbowl and tested the use of nuclear weapons in space.

An EMP is effective, but not as much as you may think.

Ok, let me give you a heads up.. They don't need to burn one entire city electrical system to put us all into a vast and absolute darkness.. All they need is add just a little more energy to its power grids.

My point: you get the Itaipu's Hydroeletric power plant off and 69% of South America is off.

No a sloar flare or cme is tho. Nuclear weapons are also less than 1% efficent, which is a good job.
