Whats does the shallowness represent?
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1405000 Yeah - look at the map - basically it was directly under the four seasons hotel on doheny. i have NEVER heard of an earthquake there before, but beverly hills DOES have a lot of oil rigs, so... also, the depth is listed at .1 km, which is 500 feet from surface.but, the thing is, it looks like it cannot register any closer than 0.1 km, so it is actually somewhere between 0 and 500 feet below the surface. something needs to be investigated there. maybe a gas line exploded or something. also, this is about 1 block from cedars-sinai, where we would have to go for treatment if it was a bad one. there's only ucla and cedars in the area. weird.
