I remember doing some looking into it and in order for the sun to become a red giant, in needed a minimum mass...crap, now I need to look into it again.

No worries, Re examination is always a good thing, especially with the rules changing.

They need a certain amount of mass to continue the process. So, we were both correct.

Our sun is supposed to become a red giant billions of years from now.

I agree, I think Pane is wrong and will lose all credibility on December 23rd.

That being said, I don't think you guys can count on the current astrophysics theory of how and when a star becomes a red giant for two good reasons.

1. My biggest pet peeve. The current 'accepted' physics and electrical engineering taught in universities is known to be wrong. It is purposely wrong, science has been suppressed in the name of greed and to keep men under control. If the true physics got out we would have anti gravity (loss of control of men, they can go anywhere), and free energy (loss of economic slavery of men). Academis is no better than any religion at this point. It is retarding, not promoting the the scientific advancement of mankind.

I just tried to google a great article that proves this, but couldn't find it, (it's probably been scrubbed). But basically shows that Einstein's theory of relativity is completely wrong by showing how it cannot be applied to practical manners. The biggest example would be the precision required for GPS satellites be accurate. Talk to any engineer who works on them, they CANNOT go by Einstein's equations to calculated the satellite's positions. They do not work. Adjustment and corrections are made to find their actual positions.

This was just 1 example of about 10 in the article.

2. Accepted astrophyics theories are just theories. It's hard enough up with good theories when you have all the known knowledge at your disposal. But when you start off with a flawed model and then add unknown variables into the mix, I can assure you most of what is accepted in the astrophyics realm will be thrown out and rewritten.

Take for example the decay rate of radioactive materials which were thought to be constant up until a few years ago. Now all of a sudden we are seeing the decay rates change!

As Pane mentions, the magnetic ribbon, followed by the galactive wave will have unknown effects on physical matter. Now I don't think our sun will go red giant.

But I do hope it bumps up the base frequency of physical matter an octave or two. That would be nice!

I am 100% in agreement with you.
