The howler monkeys where going nuts.

I still hear some of them.

The last 2 weeks I have had a problem with worms, they seek the inside of the house. These are not regular earth worms though, they are long and very thin.

I think they are deep earth worms, never seen these types before.

I have spent other rainy seasons here and never seen them before.

Anyone else here in costa rica who have seen these worms in their houses the last couple of weeks? And have you ever seen them before? By the way I have had no new squirmy intruders in the last day.

Drudge still has that the epicenter was OFFSHORE. But he took down the tsunami link.

Wonder about all of those ships going through the Panama canal with a tsunami warning going on.

It looks like the Costa Rica quake may not have ruptured all the way to trench, reducing tsunami potential

I spoke too quickly... soon as I commented about an aftershock a small one hit, creaked the house a few seconds here in Pital de San Carlos, nothing compared to the original.

Did the monkeys start making noise BEFORE the quake??

UPDATE:- There are reports of damage to infrastructure in different cantons of Guanacaste. It is not yet known whether a tsunami has been triggered. [link to earthquake-report.com]

That sounds cool and spooky at the same time, about the howler monkeys.

According to the Volcanological and Seismological Observatory of Costa Rica (OVSICORI), only known to damage small, preliminary information managed by the institution. The OVSICORI said there are areas where there is no telephone communication. The Red Cross is seeking information to determine damages units after strong quake.

The Civil Protection Directorate of El Salvador reported that maintains surveillance throughout the coastal zone of waves may increase.
