[link to www.ndbc.noaa.gov] The U.S. Has buoys going off on every side. Every major ocean has a buoy going off.

Hurricanes will not cause Buoys to go off. I actually wrote a thread on this topic a while back. Isaac slammed 30+ buoys...Katrina was same...not one went into event mode.

Hi Idgits, whats your opinion on the lack of aftershocks on the main earthqauke sites, like EMSC and RSOE

thanks

They all went into event between 1449-1458 hours, which coincides with the Costa Rica quake at 14:42. Plate movement?

We are also talking about it here>> Thread: Plate movement watch underway! Java buoy going wild.. again! (Page 9)

if the planet is convulsing, prior to a possible physical pole shift, what would we most likely see?

oh yes, anomalous sea floor rises, of course, associated with quakes

silly me

I think something much larger than Costa Rica is happening and as the plates move larger quakes, seemingly independent of each other will occur. No ftershocks means it's definitely not done. Watch for large quake to follow or possibly antipodal quakes.

Im just flummaxed because a costa rican site is listing aftershocks, yet the main ones are not.

I agree with you, I too think something else could follow

thanks for your answer :)

All the buoys randomly going off recently without reason are a tell tell sign that something is a foot. Equivelant of 100+ feet in ocean elevation changes happening every other day...something of note is happening.

That MIGHT be from things like lakes that are shifting back n forth like tanker truck that just slammed on its brakes. Significant quake causes local water to produce fresh wter type tsunami action. Waves crashing on the bank could set off local seismographs. It could also be magmatic explosions beneath the surface. We saw that at Hierro. Looked like quakes, registered like quakes...but weren't quakes

Could be sink holes. They happen on the surface, they should also happen deep in the ocean floor as well.

I bet a sink hole, if large enough, can trigger a buoy.

So do we think this is a plate movement, or a pole shift? (or both?)

I believe a pole shift is way to violent of a process to be this small of an event. If there were 5-6 Japan sized quakes going on I would be more willing to consider pole shifts. The magnetic pole is just as difficult to relocate. Basically its goin to occur at the greatest concentrations of ice and snow.
