OP encouraging others to break free from the programming that has kept us subdued and disempowered for so long. As our familiar systems continue to fail, and our society continues to erode, individuals will become increasingly likely to question the true nature of the world that we live in as well as the 'accepted way of living' that we were ingrained with - which will increasingly appear unsustainable and corrupt. Basically, people will begin to question everything, including all the programming that has been in place to maintain the control structure and status quo that we're so acclimated to. Once it becomes blatantly obvious that the 'system' can no longer provide for our well-being, then the collective desire to continue participating in the 'system' will dissolve and fade away. Paves the way for a paradigm shift or a collective shift in consciousness.

Actually OP has made a very good point, the only thing that I would add is that we not only need to take responsibility for our lives, but to stop blaming others for the things that happen to us.

You know being free is really not that hard once you know where it truly comes from, as you have outlined nicely. Taking responsibility is big part of that as you said, but sometimes your freedom becomes stumbling block to someone you truly care about. It's true that nobody should be affected by your right to exercise freedom and be free, but if you know that your freedom to choose what you want affect someone you care about in negative way because of their weak conscience and are dependence on you, then I would rather choose to deny myself than give in to the lures of freedom, when I know it will hurt that person.
