Are you getting the feeling of time speeding up though?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1601613

See, yeah that's the thing about relative time. Even if time were speeding up, we would speed up with it and notice no change.

Time compression, makes a lot of sense
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1601613

Never been a big believer in specific prophecies that give dates ie 12/21/2012 but it is interesting that not only the Mayans point to this date (although the evidence is not 100%) but also time wave zero derived from the iching and the Egyptians point to around this date. It could be the closer we get to this date the faster we're until...... Who knows. Time compression is an interesting theory

sorry meant 2013. why then? it is a sub theory within the timewave zero theory that the flat line at 12/21/12 is actually a very SLOW small gradual further decent that teeters out to aound that time in febuary. i chose the 23rd becuase of that numbers relation to many things.

I know EXACTLY what you mean friend!—this isn't how life used to feel back in the eighties,or even the early nineties for that matter, for some unknown reason, time IS speeding up.Hey,it's funny that you should be on tonight with this thread;I was just listening to a Clyde Lewis talkshow(he had 'Freeman' on),and a caller said the earth is spining on its axis much faster than in previous decades!!! Hmmmmn...could explain things.

Anyway,5 STARS from me PLUS "pin"!

Have you noticed too how it never really feels like there's a "first of the month" any more? It's like we get to the end of one month and pow! We're already five or six days into the next month.

Re: Time speeding up? Until point zero? Are we getting closer?
There is some evidence that the speed of light is slightly faster now than it was when they first started measuring it. Naysayers will say this is because we have better and more accurate instruments now, and the old ones were more error-prone...but if so, why are the new results universally FASTER? If it was simply a matter of accuracy, you would expect that the old results would be both faster and slower than the new ones...but no...the results of the new measurements are FASTER.

i dont think that is true, exactly, BUT, the idea that we are, each week almost at this point, PUSHING THE BOUNDRAYS of what is possible or isnt. thats some prophetic shit:

An international team led by the Austrian physicist Anton Zeilinger has successfully transmitted quantum states between the two Canary Islands of La Palma and Tenerife, over a distance of 143 km. The previous record, set by researchers in China just a few months ago, was 97 km

[link to www.wired.com]

Scientists have generated the world’s fastest laser pulse, a beam that shoots for 67 attoseconds, or 0.000000000000000067 seconds. The feat improves on the previous record of 80 attoseconds, set in 2008, by 13 quintillionths of a second
