I had heard that the newspaper said they were reintroducing water snakes into lake Erie after their numbers had dwindled. I was down there at Put-in-bay island 2 weeks ago and we didn't spot any but my mother in law claimed they were everywhere (like when you look over a bridge with more stagnant water)only a month before. May not be related- but I thought I would mention it.
