Torchia was born in 1620. He was apprenticed in Leyden under the Elzevir family. After returning to Venice he published small works on philosophical and esoteric themes. In 1666, Torchia published De Umbrarum Regni Novem Portis (The Nine Doors to the Kingdom of Shadows), which was in turn based on the Delomelanicon, or Invocation of Darkness, a work supposedly written by Lucifer and that would allow the reader to summon devils. The Inquisition condemned Torchia for magic and witchcraft and burned him at the stake in 1667.

Slain Brit Saad al-Hilli had links to a top-secret British nuclear lab, we can reveal.

Iraqi-born engineer Saad, 50, worked at the internationally-renowned Rutherford Appleton research centre in the 1980s.

His links to the lab will fuel conspiracy theories about the gun attack which left the dad of two, his wife Ikbal and another woman dead in their BMW in the French Alps on Wednesday.

Our revelation follows claims that Saad's family had owned an engineering plant in Iraq, that he was spied on by Special Branch during the Gulf War and that his aerial satellite photo firm worked for the Ministry of Defence.

According to an ex-colleague at the Rutherford lab in Didcot, Oxon, Saad worked on a giant particle accelerator which can make radioactive material.

In May one of its former physicists Dr Adlene Hicheur was jailed for five years for plotting al Qaeda attacks.

The link come from the above French dudester

Here's the link to the Al Qaeda scientist who work alongside Al Hilli

i think they were in the wrong place at the wrong time saw the ciclist geting shot and they were the witneses and tryed to turn around and drive away but as they were backing up to turn round they were hit,the girl must have got out of the car and ran for her life then returned after the shooter had gone to see her parents and the other ciclist then saw her and phoned for help.they were on a regular family holiday with there kids an ordinary family,
i think they have nothing to do with this and were wittneses to the other bloke on bike being shot.if this irac bloke was the target they would have waited till he was alone not when he was with the whole family.
poor poor children i feel so sorry for them especialy the 4 year old girl as she was apparently very clingy and all her mom,now it must be very scary and sad for her, children that age dont understand death properly.its very very sad.
 Quoting: no ordinary person

Its a horrible situation for the children, something that will live with them for the rest of their lives, indeed tragic.

Your theroy is possible, but it still leaves some questions. Why was saad al-hilli so stressed before leaving? Why did he tell a neighbour he had important documents hidden in is house? why did the french prosecutor say that 4 year old zena did not know who the older woman was and had only met her a few times, but now she is a elderly relative? surely even a child of 4 would know her grandmother? If the cyclist was the target why do it in that spot, when the road futher up is closed for cars and ideal for a ambush? why was the 7 year old shot in the shoulder, when her family had been shot in the head twice?

There are many more questions, but few answers at this stage, but something is most disturbing about the whole thing. I hope it is finished quickly and the killers found so the girls can get on with the rest of their lives.

Slightly different take on the Swedish connection from Canada (AP reports) Mae Faisal El-Wailly, a childhood friend of the brothers, made available a letter written to her by Saad last year that alluded to a possible inheritance dispute….But El-Wailly added that she did not believe Zaid had anything to do with the killings…..Swedish authorities have confirmed that a passport discovered on the scene corresponds to a Swedish person living in Sweden. But as of yet no absolute connection has been made between the older woman in the car and the passport or between her and the rest of the victims, authorities said.

That's bizarre. Why would this woman travel on a day out with her passport? Is that normal and if so why didn't anyone else have their passports with them then?

There's always a random PASSPORT in these kinds of incidents.
Reminds me of the random passport that just happened to be found at the 9/11 site that "just happened" to belong to one of the perps.
