What the hell do you do to cope with nonevents, yet you still keep looking??? DEC 2012 MIGHT NOT BE THE END, BUT IT WILL BE THE START OF SOMETHING GREAT, MAYBE YOU OR MAYBE I WON'T BE HERE TOO SHARE IT, BUT THE WORLD WILL BECOME SOMETHING GREAT, SOMETHING NEW AND THE PEOPLE OF THIS WORLD WILL BE A PART OF IT  You say this as if the US will not make it to 12/21/12 ? Maybe because of some event beforehand on 12/3/ 12 or 12/12/12 ?
