What is the high frequency sound I keep hearing? I'm certain I'm hearing voices in that too. I read the posts about that being factitious but from time to time, something pops up. Maybe a radio in the room?

not a radio in the room... this feed is coming from Lake Kickapoo in TX about 360 miles from Roswell NM. You may hear occasional radio interference. No biggie.
Maybe if they turned the economy off and then turned it back on it might run better. Works for my computer.

I got an email back guys!

We've been observing the N.L.O. Live Meteor Detection where something has been coming in for almost two hours now...

Has something like this happened before?

We're also listening in at Spaceweatherradio.com and it is being detected there as well.

Any information would be greatly appreciated - thank you.

"This is the direct signal received from the over-the-horizon radar we use, caused by a natural phenomenon known as tropospheric propagation [link to en.wikipedia.org] This occurs on our system on average about 3 or 4 times a year and typically lasts 1 – 2 days on each occasion. It is an indication of radio “lift” conditions in western Europe."

No no no guys now I understand what he means.

The Atmosphere reflects all Signals like a Ping Pong over the whole world. This is really normal.

I remember my father saying. 20 years ago he could get a connection to switzerland with only a small antenna and a CB Frequency Device.

The next Jupiter Season?

While Jupiter will emerge from the morning twilight once again in August, marking a new observing season for its natural radio emissions, in late May several RJ observers recorded weak Jovian decametric emissions. Does this foretell the possibility of catching more Jupiter radio storms before August?

Since your RJ radiotelescope is great for observing Solar radio bursts, so keep your receiver fired up, and you may catch some rare early Jupiter.

The upcoming Jupiter observing season is expected to run through March of 2013.

Are they trying to say Jupiter is going all of a sudden zoom-in on earth to appear big, like a second sun? And we should be OK with that like this is normal?

No, LOL
Jupiter is a very radio noisy planet, it spins and spits out frequency waves like a blender from both poles when it gets geared up. This is just going to be a noisy time until March 2013 for rf signals
At least that's what the constant grinding rf noise looks like to me on that live feed.
Jupiter also puts it's sound out in different frequencies, some of them very low frequency but loud.

Earthquakes

Some monitoring stations have reported that earthquakes are sometimes preceded by a spike in ULF activity. A remarkable example of this occurred before the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake in California.[5] On December 9, 2010, geoscientists announced that the DEMETER satellite observed a dramatic increase in ULF radio waves over Haiti in the month before the magnitude 7.0 Mw 2010 earthquake.[6] Researchers are attempting to learn more about this correlation to find out whether this method can be used as part of an early warning system for earthquakes.

Re: meteor strikes Earth’s atmosphere
Got up this morning and saw this thread after a strange night which is making me think.

My son who is I think a bit psychic woke up screaming last night and was pointing to a corner of the room. Then later I heard a loud knock on the window, I got up but nothing was there.

I then noticed a massive light in the sky in the same direction my son was pointing at.

I'm a bit freaked out right now
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 23273509

My dog woke me up at the same time...

She would not be placated.

I got up and looked around and a huge FLASH occurred in the sky.

I went outside and there was a thunderstorm moving in from the Northwest from a long way away...

All my animals were excited.

Something in the Northwest...

I have no idea what it may be.
