Just like i posted on here the other night... The one i saw was long lived, long tail. but what was funny bout this one was even thought it was going east to west it didnt travel across the sky it seemed to go from the top of the sky almost straight to the ground.. ive been watching the skies every night and have done so for many years.. i can only recall seeing one meteor in my 31 years.. but i have seen like 5 in the past for years.. heres my last post.......

Thread: HUGE FIREBALL IN ARKANSAS!!!!!!!!! (2 in the past 3 days)
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 23151162

Here in SC i saw something just like that wednesday (9-5-12)night I thought I was either seeing stuff or it was just a glare in my windshield.. but it did exactly that, straight down and like a small ball of fire! I didnt even think about it again until I read your post! That is freaky!

NEAR-EARTH ASTEROID: A relatively large asteroid, just discovered on August 28th, will fly past the Earth-Moon system on Sept 14th only 2.8 million km (7.4 lunar distances) away. 2012 QG42 is about as wide as three football fields and comes to us from just beyond the orbit of Mars. Astronomers who are now monitoring the space rock say it shines about as brightly as a 15th magnitude star. [3D orbit] [ephemeris]

By the way, if you can't read the captions of the graph, you should try using "Ctrl +" to zoom in and enlarge the graph.

Using zoom, you can read the captions of time and frequency.
