i idea the tech here is quite old like a vehicle they improve the later the model. 21st century i the idea they like the wool. this tech is here some time

You have to love the fact that, we the people, are paying our employees to spy on us.

In a rational world it would be the opposite.

move out to semi rural areas. no cameras out here.....

just walk around with sunglasses and a fake moustache....

I doubt sun glasses will work because there are MANY light frequencies untouched by the lenses. Frequencies outside of human vision.

i.e. Infrared will look right past the lense like it wasn't there.

i.e. Then there is bone prints. Everyone has a specific bone structure full of identifying flaws. If you all think they won't us x-ray on us, you're wrong. They already have x-ray trucks to deploy.


besides.....one man hiding his eyes among hundreds who are not is highly suspicious in it's own. Big fail, lol.

Why can't these systems that We the People pay for be accessed by We the People? First off, I'd like to see pictures of all those who make this possible, with the same information on them that they have on us.

Tagged FACEBOOK photos will form a HUGE part of the database!! (of that you can be sure)

In addition one can add in all those "shared" pictures from various picture sharing sites (ie: Google's "Picasa" etc.)

Over time these public AND VOLUNTARILY TAGGED WITH NAMES pictures will mean that virtually nobody in the developed world will not be easily recognizable to the computers ... ON A REAL TIME BASIS!

Add in cell phone tracking (and records kept as to ALL cell phone locations for the last x number of months years), and automatic license plate tracking technology, both with fixed camera locations watching busy roads, and mounted on moving police and other vehicles (in Chicago they are mounted on garbage trucks which scan all cars, moving and parked as they do their rounds) and privacy as we have previously know it IS GONE!

(oh ... and of course any message that you send electronically is for all intents and purposes KEPT FOREVER!)

It is a "Brave New World" ... a world of "1984", only 20 years later than projected

I used to have an old picture on a former acct on here. Kept getting insulting posts/emails goading me to post a current pic. That had the feel of nsa/cia to me.

One day hackers going to break into FBI's face recognition database and label every person as wanted by FBI, all the way up to the President of the USA.

It'll be a national embarrassment and scandal.

Then the automatic taser net launchers at the entrance of banks, bus stops, mcdonalds, and any other too big corporation will fire on everybody.

I thought I already read they were doing this? It's sad as someone already mentioned we have hungry people, a failing education system, no health care for a lot of people , and social security going bust and they decide to put all our faces in a database? Come on.

Whether it's a "face recognition" or a "facebook recognition," to spend a billion dollars on this when there are sooooooooooooooo many other things that money could be used for is absurd beyond belief.

I'm not sure if this is true but wasn't Facebook doing something similar too?

no can do. Short Wave Infrared (SWIR) cameras detect and see thru disguises. US Border Patrol has a boat load of the cameras and more setup at checkpoints. Soon to be at train stations, bus stations and in taxi cabs, etc.. Facial recognition can identify you in seconds from hundreds of millions in data base. Then they hunt you down like dog.

I don't necessarily think, in this day and age of stunning terroristic atrosities, that the face recognition is a bad idea. If you ain't doing nuthin' wrong, then you got nothin' to worry about. However, having said that, to spend a BILLION DOLLARS on it? THAT part is beyond ridiculous. And we wonder where our tax dollars go to or why a military bolt costs $100.
