Do you realize the 42 Admonitions of Ma'at predated the 10 commandments?

Of all people to receive this information, it was Moses who came down with the 10 commandments, but yet he was schooled in Egypt where he would have already been familiar with the 42 negative confessions.

What do you think about this?

It must be pretty nice being able to shrug off the burden of proof by saying "it was a miracle" and leaving it at that.

Like many, I too would like some real answers, but you'll never get them from religious folk. They have proven time and again that they are unable to think for themselves, which is why they typically answer questions with snippets from the bible rather than an answer in their own words (or like the OP, they say it was a miracle and consider that a satisfactory explanation)

Those that display the ability to think critically and rationally tend to leave the church, as evidenced by others in this thread.

One thing I can understand from this thread:

But why 28 October 2011? Why did you choose those milestones? Why did you say IT revolution start 12 years ago? Why did you not choose Earth or solar system birth as milestone? Did you choose milestones and stop date which can create a pattern to be able to answer my question Why did God wait for 10 billion years to create our Earth?

Why does God allow good people to suffer? What is suffering? You are assuming that all suffering is bad. Jesus suffered and He saved the world as a result. I've suffered much and have grown from it. If the mountain was smooth, you couldn't climb it. Suffering provides a means to grow, overcome and learn.

The *real* history of the bible can be found when you follow the facts.

1. Koran codified together by scribes re-writing earlier script.

2. Old testament codified centuries after that.

3. Your "bible" was assembled in 325 AD by a roman Emperor attempting to unify an unweildly Empire with too many religious factions.

The bible was not written by God, it was written and rewritten and interpreted and assembled by men.

That's HISTORY.

There's an AWESOME documentary on HULU (NOVA channel) about the historical facts of the bible. It's VERY educational, and FASCINATING!

What it all boils down to, is who do you believe Jesus Christ is.

Do you believe that He is the Son of Almighty God who came to earth to redeem mankind?

Do you believe that He was God in the flesh who took your place on the cross in order to pay the penalty for the sin that is in you?

Do you believe that He is the only way, that there is no other way to reconcile yourself to God?

No other person in history can make the claims that Jesus Christ made.

No other person in history backed up their claims by doing things no regular human being could do.

The Bible is not just scripture, it is actual recorded historical accounts by eyewitnesses.

Every other founder of every other religion was just a regular human being with a philosophy who convinced others to follow that philosophy. They possessed no power to defy the Laws of Physics.

Anyone can invent a religion, but not anyone can claim to be God and then back it up with the power to control sickness, disease, the weather, the Laws of Physics and even death itself.

And no other person can die in your place except Jesus Christ, because the sacrifice had to be spotless and pure.

Jesus was without sin--He was without spot or blemish, untainted and pure in HIS person and in HIS work.

He was condemned by the law WE broke and He suffered the penalty for that broken law on our behalf.

Now if you choose not to believe that or choose to look for another way, you will remain in your sins--unredeemed.

Truth has been presented to you and no one is forcing you to decide.

I"m not part of organized religion as it's known on the earth. I don't belong to or attend any church at all.

But, I study, read and pray on my own and I have a personal relationship with God, The Father, Son & Holy Spirit. That's all anyone needs.
