Look for example the Pakistan's flag, Pakistan is near the equator as well: [link to upload.wikimedia.org] BUT in our pretty high nothern hemispheres latitude such as USA, Europe, is NOT normal at all to see that huge rotation, it should stand pretty vertical all the times on the moon phases as well. Cryin Wont Help Ya User ID: 18833395 United States 09/08/2012 05:19 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | OK - I have a software program that I bought in the 1990s that goes with my telescope (Meade). I haven't had it on my present computer and haven't looked at it since shortly after I bought the telescope. Anyway, I just loaded the software, punched in my coordinates and looked for 9/8/12 at 12:30am, which was when this thread started. According to this software, the angle of the line demarcating the lit and unlit portions of the moon should be 11 o'clock and 5 o'clock. What I was seeing last night was MUCH closer to the horizontal than that. I would say at least 10 o'clock/4 o'clock or even further back toward 9:30/3:30. Again, this software is from the 1990s and calculates the moon's appearance based on date, time and location of the viewer. (one other thing, according to my software, there is no bright star right to the left of the moon, either, it shows Jupiter, but quite a bit further left?) |

Hydra User ID: 23391319 Germany 09/08/2012 05:53 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | At least I am bored with explaining this - this topic comes up two times a month since years. Quoting: Hydra Make a GLP search for "Moon" and "wrong" or "Strange". And learn something about the Moons orbit. But I will make a prediction for Seattle US: Just before dawn the bright side of the Moon will be left with the "border" (science term: terminator) from 12 to 6. And four to five hours later (in the daylight) the terminator will be from 2 to 8. Where do I know? Science. PS The bright "star" close to the Moon is Jupiter. . If you bored with this topic then why do you haunt the moon is not right threads? The moon is often out of position and rotates FAR more than 6 degrees (normal) to more than 90 or even 100 degrees (not normal) overnight. The moon used to have a well-known path across the sky. Do you find the moon shining in windows that never got moonlight before? Did you see the moon almost direct overhead where the pole star should be recently (which is impossible)? Have you read anything OTHER than what the professional debunks who look for such evidence say? Like how about the mainstream scientists? Why do they pretend the sun, moon, and stars are all normal and nothing is wrong? The reason is Planet X! But that is about to blown wide open when NASA (not Obama) announces it. I expect a Friday evening "special report" anytime after 9-11 anniversary. They like to announce such things when people are often not watching TV and the stock market in the U.S. is closed. It is the pending announcement causing noticed troop movements, etc. The U.S. government is preparing for riots that will NOT occur post-announcement. Sorry: The moon face rotates at most 7 degrees, not 6. If I don't correct that error the so-called experts who insist all is normal, nothing is wrong while ignoring all the other evidence (earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, sinkholes, landslides, collapsing and exploding buildings, fireballs, "Trojan" asteroids NASA recently invented, extreme and wild weather) will likely jump on it. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 22852152 It is like this: YOU are not supposed to connect the dots and realize the sky signs and the earth changes are all connected to the presence of Planet X. Just registered to the Poleshit.ning - and now Poleshit-Nacy sends you for shilling to GLP? Let me say it in a simple way: :godhavemercy: . :ase26122019: Annular Solar Eclipse - December 26, 2019 - Kannur, Kerala, India |

Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 8407446 United States 09/08/2012 06:17 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Just went outside (Port Townsend WA). Moon is very bright. Half-lit. The bright side is on the bottom. The line of demarcation is from 10:00 to 4:00, like OP said. And, it's completely straight, like there's something held in front of the moon instead of the slightly curved line we are supposed to see. Quoting: Cryin Wont Help Ya Also, the dogs are going crazy and birds are making noise out there. Neighbors are outside talking. People yelling in the distance. Yeah, it's Friday night. But the moon is real strange... GLP made me go outside and check.. yup, Moon never looked like that in my many years.. and what is that next to it??????? |

I know that the static stars on our latitudes looks like spinning in the sky in about 90 degrees per 8 Hours, that's field rotation. The moon is not a star, it moves around the earth, so we have 1 object (the Moon) orbiting another object (the Earth). |
