Las Vegas in Spain! Watch the jobs roll in!

Of course I realize this, and so does everyone else. But the politicians obviously think everyone is stupid because it is them who are acting as though they have saved the world by bringing in this project and creating a few slave jobs.

Your obviously not from Nevada. The majority of the state has snow all winter Ever heard of a place called Lake Tahoe. Even Las Vegas has these things called mountains that get snow. The Mexican population is much lower here compared to the states around too btw.

BTW unemployment here is about 25% of the workforce...with 18-25 yr olds at about 53%....that translates to between 5 and 6 million people...officially...use your imagination for the real "unofficial" numbers...add to that the fact that most unemployment benefits last for 2 years. Many people have passed that date, and many more are about to.

There isn't enough water in Spain to support this.

Casinos tend to help concentrate economic power into big corporations by wiping out small ones in my experience.

They built a casino in Gatineau.

I had a small company, and every few months, one of my customers would default on his invoices and go bankrupt. Why? Because the twat had been wiped out at the Casino and this happened again and again. Even though I had never once gone and gambled, my small company was repeatedly whacked by the effects of the Casino.

Now imagine that multiplied 6 fold and add in the Mafia.

Does Spain deserve this? Actually YES. You all voted in Socialist Governements, so you get the just desserts for it.

Actually the current PM is head of the People's Party, the Socialist opposition. His father was a member of the Franco regime and they are allied with the European People's Party, just right of center. They're like republicans.

Other than that, you're right. But the people of Spain don't deserve it anymore than anyone else deserves to be at the mercy of it's corrupt political systems. Don't tell me you believe in fair elections, and the power of the vote. It's the same here as most places. You are presented with 2 choices...two parties to choose from. If one doesn't work, you go with the other. People have woken up to that game, though.
