Your relationship with your dad stands above that last argument, you do know that, right? I sincerely hope that your dad pointed you towards Our Father in Heaven so that you can seek His comfort and strength in these times. The single best thing that you could ever do is have Him let you understand this "Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends." John 15:13 |

I am not going to say it is easy but it slowly gets better. That deep gut wrenching pain you feel in your stomach slowly subsides over time.you have milestones to go through his birthday, holidays,Father's Day, and the anniversary of his death. These days will renew the hurt but soon you will be able to talk about your memories of him with humor and a sense of peace. Start a new life and trust in God whatever you perceive him to be. Best of luck to you. Strive to be happy. |

It's hard when a loved one passes, just because you can't see him doesn't mean he can't see you . Just love your fellow man, you will meet again . You have a good heart, look to your future with love . |

| Anonymous Coward User ID: 22552125 09/08/2012 08:43 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | My father (JOHN) passed away on 5-14-2012 due to his heart giving out, Four months leading to his death he had lung cancer but the doctors went in and removed it. Its sad to know my father did everything he could to stay on this earth to be with his family and for his heart to give out hurts so much. The night before he died we got into a fight and that was the last time I seen my father. When my mom called 911 he was hurting and weak but he got dressed fixed his hair not knowing 15 mins later he would die, He was not ready to leave. At the time I was working for seaworld in orlando as a rides tech making great money, had a nice house, money in the bank. As of today I have nothing, I now live in a RV at a park in daytona and $10 bucks to my name, GLP is a big part of my life even my father loved hearing about all the doom, Every week we was going to die of something, lol. Without this site I would be lost, Now with my father gone is time to get the fuck out of this crazy state and start a new life, Whoever reads this please take the time and call your parents even if its just to say hey, Because when they leave this place that's it. Quoting: <<TIMEWATCHER>> I never told my father I loved him, To this day I still forget he is not here :( THE REASON WE LOST EVERYTHING IS BECAUSE ITS NOT CHEAP WHEN SOMEONE DIES, MY FATHER WORK AT FRIGHTLINER IN NC FOR 30YRS AND BECAUSE OF ALL HIS HEALTH PROBLEMS HE COULD ONLY GET 5K IN LIFE INS AND SS ONLY PAYS $255. Sorry for you loss! It's always so hard to lose someone you love. What is sad is that everyone goes through this. And it's so difficult to get over it. At least you had a father that loved you. My father was gone when I was 7 and I was so happy he was gone. He was a horrible man. He went on to ruin many lives and was a drug addict that died of AIDS from a dirty needle. My mother is not much better. Be glad you had great parents. Not everyone does! You will be back to normal in the future but it will take time. Take care! |

What they didn't see was how a few days before as I was sitting with her the old personality came back and I could see fear and almost childlike vulnerability in her face. Sitting there stroking her hand and trying to give her reassurances that everything would be ok felt so much like lying. She died a few days later and because of the timing I wasn't able to be there. From that point on I've decided that it doesn't matter if people think how you live life is wrong because fear stops you living at all and in the end we all die. Best wishes OP people say it gets easier but tbh I kind of hope it doesn't for me. |

Telling someone you love them is a construct of the HUMAN mind. In the spiritual world and within the confines of metaphysical world there are other ways to say I love you without a sound coming from your lips. I'm fairly sure, you father would appreciate you getting on with things. Being a parent myself, I would be very disappointed to know one of my children is out of sorts due to my death. IT IS NOT WHAT PARENTS YEARN FOR. I think the best way to show you father you love his is to make a to do list and check them off as you go and start accomplishing things! Start Monday!!! Put the objectives down on paper, he will help you arrange them and GET TO IT. Cheers and Good Livin! Last Edited by ****SUPERFLY**** on 09/08/2012 09:53 AM Always Seeking the Truth :supersun: |

Quoting: <<TIMEWATCHER>> Sorry for your loss OP. Obviously your father had a great positive influence on who you are today. You don't have to "wish" to be half the man he was...Live your life and keep him in your thoughts daily. There is no doubt that you already know what will make him proud of you. Good luck to you! |

You can tell him you love him now...he will hear you. Quoting: Carol B. Carol B. is right. He will hear you. And he probably knew that when he was alive anyway even if you didn't say it. It seems normal that a son might tell his mother or sister that he loves them but might not say it out loud to his father or brother! Your actions spoke louder than your words. He knew. But thank-you for the message to tell our loved ones how much we love them while they are here with us and good luck to you. |
