Why doesn't TSA check the contents of the trash can? Why not go into the vendor or machine that is selling drinks past their barrier? Do they even check the vendors stocking machines?

I have not flown since 2003, I drive across the country or take a ship to the Islands.

If You dont like TSA, stop flying, the Airlines & Airports will get the message and kick the TSA out.

I'm over 60 and I'd pour my drink on the floor before letting those bastard or bastardettes touch my drink.

This has never been about "our safety" but about getting control over every aspect of our lives.

To be fair though I have flown quite often NZ to France which is one of the longest flights you can take. And although they take away your water they normally let your drink it at the screen-in line.

This is so absolutely crazy, that I can't wrap my mind around this. they are paying 2 women/agents to go around & bother people by taking a sample of the water they are drinking, after they have already cleared security. Why don't they test the water before it leaves the water plant, before its shipped to the airport restaurants. This is so bizarre.

I have flown several times and was able to bring a full (mixed liquid) bottle of baby formula, a bottle of orange juice, and a sealed bottle of water on, and that was just one of the many flights. Maybe I don't get what the big deal is. they asked me to open the top of the bottle, they waved something over it to check for fumes (or whatever)...and I was on my way.

I guess I don't understand all the anti-TSA hype, I've never experienced anything bad. Never a pat down, never a molestation, never harrassing my child....I just walk through the arch and be on my way.I have flown at least 20 times since 2011, once a month or more.

And before anyone tells me the arch will give me cancer or whatnot, I have no thyroid organ, it came out when I found out I already had cancer several years ago. Can't blame TSA for that, I only started flying a year or so ago.

This is par for the course. I was threatend with arrest and molested for failing to keep my feet inside the yellow foot marks on the mat they make you stand on after you go though the body scanner.

Yep, I got the full pat down (with extra emphasis jabbing into my groin) AFTER going through the full body scanner.

As along, LONG time airline employee/manager/contractor, I'll quote what an airport cop told a guy who was angry his flight was delayed, several years before TSA:

"THIS IS NOT BURGER KING, you do not get it your way!"

You forget just WHO it was that was screaming "DO SOMETHING! DO SOMETHING!! DO ANYTHING!" in the days after 9/11.

It isn't about the drink, or what they're checking at all. It's about judging the attitude of the people around them.

That part is clear. What I can't see at this point is what they hope to gain, or if it's being based on someones subconscious desire to control others higher up in the system.
