11:30 AM EDT: Trees and power lines reported down with shingles off roofs in DuBois, PA. There have also been reports of a funnel cloud.

11:15 AM EDT: 20-30 large trees reported down in Cheektowaga Town Park near Buffalo, N.Y.

11:00 AM EDT: 1.4 inches of rain in Brooklyn, N.Y. in just 45 minutes.

10:58 AM EDT: Structural damage reported in Breezy Point, Queens, N.Y. Power lines, trees are also reported down along with moved cars. Numerous eyewitnesses reported seeing a tornado.

Westchester county N.Y. police scanner: A tree is down on power lines and burning on Elm Ave.

Severe weather expert at The Weather Channel, Dr. Greg Forbes, has just issued a TORCON value of 5 (out of 10) for what appears to be the entire northeast from Philadelphia, to Washington, D.C. to New York City, to Connecticut, to Boston, and up through the state of Maine.

A TORCON value of 5 means that a person has a 50% chance of seeing a tornado within 50 miles of where they live.

There have already been tornadoes in New Jersey, New York (Breezy Point) including the New York City area (Coney Island, Queens), and Connecticut I believe.

Heads up everybody in these areas.

no injuries - no kidding. New Yorkers don't put up with that shit.

Presently, there are current tornado warnings issued for:

Wayne County, PA

Frederick County, Shenandoah County, and Warren County, VA
