Defend yourselves if you practice this stuff. Because thus far I've never seen anything worthy come from these people.

I do know that some people have psychic abilities - it's like a defect or something - Abraham Lincoln is the best example I can think of: He was kicked in the head by a horse as a young man and occasionally had visions, including that of his own death.

Also, near death experiencers sometimes gain psychic abilities, but I've learned that they often misuse or abuse the ability...and continue to practice even after the abilities have left them.

I want answers... Now more than ever...!

Problem with 'defending yourself' on this subject is trip-trapp, trip-trapping all over the bridge. Trolls will come out in force. I had a guy today tell me quantum physics isn't real. He was pissed I even mentioned it as real science, even though it was obvious to me he had done zero research of his own on the subject. I imagine a discussion on real psychic phenomena would bring many times the hate to bear on whoever asserted it was real. The research is out there. Hell, the U.S. government has done plenty of it...

I would say most are not real. But they sell a lot of books on coast to coast am!

I think the minority that are real we've never heard about because they aren't trying to get rich with it.

I do know some are real for sure.

Bottom line is, most 'real psychics' are just in a position to take advantage of the mechanics of the universe that people confined to only five senses (because that's all they know) simply can't break through their cognitive dissonance to admit even exists. Science or spirituality, it's semantics.

I see a man with thick glasses, balding and thick fingers. With very bright lights over head. Flourescent?

I smell a lot of cigarette/cigar smoke. I see a lot of pressed button down shirts. I see an older dog with dark brown and black hair mix.

I see a lot of Coca Cola products in the house.

I see Herman or a male's name that starts with an H. Harry?

How close was I OP?

Edit: Also grabbed the names "Mary, Margaret, Samantha."

Ed Dames' BS notwithstanding, remote viewing has been researched with fair success in a HIGHLY scientific way by a super-stodgy academic and his non-profit. I'm still getting more information about it to satisfy my own curiosity and doubt, but the concepts fit with the emerging scientific paradigm.

fakes are bad
the spiritual cheats are far worse
they are actively screwing up their souls, giving lip service to things they have never experienced, for profit, independant of consequence. Theres no way to do that crap without it being at someone elses expense. I wouldn't be alive today if I was trying to pull psychic stunts and timewarping in knowlege of shit I really couldn't know without some sort of outside help, and from whom does the power come? Not a good spiritual presence. The people and places I was involved with, would have told me straight wether it was something available that could be utilized without tarnishing myself by indulging. I didn't have any spare time to go fucking around out there turning myself into some sort of hot-shot paranormal wierdo.
If I could have come back to life as a real Angel with a halo and wings, I would have. Those peoples spirits are totally un-cooperative, because they are on a program to dictate stuff, while a big frigging bastard monster and Co. run around making it happen for them so what they say comes true, as per the deals they make with the Devil. And if you disturb them it interfears with their career of evolving from a Human through life and being rebord in the afterlife as a lump of shit decomposing and being compressed into coal to fule the fire thats torcing them out.

All is a big word.
I know 1 real medium.
That woman channelled a spanish gypsy and told me my entire past, present, and future and the future part all come true.
That woman was the real deal, I am so grateful to her, she was a healer in every way. But I don't go to her anymore.
I felt I cheated life every time I found out the future because I was never surprised and it killed any mystery and paradox that I would get from life if life just unfolded in a timeline that I didn't know of.
I also think there are spiritual lessons in so much of our life events.

Also, this woman doesn't sell anything, and she charged me $10 for 4 hours straight. She lives in a low income area, no furniture, she spends hours meditating or reading and just loving herself. She doesn't ask much of anything, she just has the gift.

Most people other than her who I've payed real money etc, were whatever.

"all in all" i'm not interested anymore.
Most times I went to them was because I felt so out of control of my life and now I just trust the divine will give me all the answers that I need when I need to know them.

We all have the 6th sense. Some people can use it better than others. Some take advantage of their gift to sell books etc. I went to a psychic just for the Hell of it. Plus she's a petit blonde with nice legs. Anyway, I was blown away by her reading and I gave her no information.
Now I know she knew I was thinking the whole time during the reading.."Damn, I'd do her so hard!"hititanother do

Hypnosis doesn't belong on your list with the others. It's actually a therapy involving very deep states of relaxation. And I'm not talking about stage hypnosis where people are made to act stupid for laughs.

As for psychics and the sort, some are real, some aren't. I usually can tell right away when I start asking them specific questions. When I ask the same thing to them all, and I get the same answer, then I know they are for real.

People can see things ahead of time, I don't think of it as anything, you have posted. Many people in my family see things that are ahead in time, they come true. If they hadn't come true, I would say there was nothing to it.

I have had many times, I have been worried about something and dreamed the whole thing the day before, just like it happened the next day.

I saw the attack on New York twin towers in may 2001 and birds eating the flesh of the dead, it wasn't pleasant.

I could say more but it isn't important. It happens when it happens and not by doing anything but praying.

I think everyone has one or more that they don't listen to and just put it down as strange when it comes true. I am just no one to discount things, that I have been shown.

I also thank God for helping me, when I fear a certain situation, living it the day before is always helpful.

The majority of people are acting...or, playing "make-believe." Even worse, their cliched jargon and their naive approach to playing with the occult often demonstrates their youthful endeavors into the world of the spiritual.

There are GENUINE people out there...however, the positive ones will only put it on display to help others, or to be beneficial to their environment while training others to reach that potential, otherwise, you'll never see them do it at all. The negative one's won't display it at all, because they're using it for self serving motivations. Therefore, if they share the knowledge, then they split that power out to others who might serve as competition.

To an extent, all humans have the ability to connect into the etheric realms, but, most people simply do not hone it. For instance: Almost everyone has had a deja vu, or an instance where they though of a person and then the person that they think of calls them that instant.---Therefore, those who would LABEL themselves as psychic, or anything of that nature is in fact, calling themselves "SPECIAL." By claiming the ability itself and then parading it around like a trophy, one is intentionally drawing attention to their supposed "speciality," and usually, these people do NOTHING to help other people attain these same "talents." --If they even have those "TALENTS" at all. Then they'll even have the nerve to charge people for poor guesses and cliched advice. Another talent is injecting realities. For instance: A psychic will tell a person that they will find the love of their life within a year. Once the customer hears this, they'll spend the next year attempting to find a person to validate this "prediction." And if the person finds someone within that year..."VIOLA...the psychic was correct."

Its all self-serving b.s.
watching the "run up" to the elections and the "hopes and dreams" that are built as a result is like watching a dead mouse that is still able to make his exercise wheel go around because his nerves are still twitching that familiar motion...

Its all self-serving b.s.

Yep and for those of use who realize potential, life becomes a game.

Re: Anyone else think that most if not all psychics, mediums, angel readers, hypnotists and the like are fakes?
Defend yourselves if you practice this stuff. Because thus far I've never seen anything worthy come from these people.

I do know that some people have psychic abilities - it's like a defect or something - Abraham Lincoln is the best example I can think of: He was kicked in the head by a horse as a young man and occasionally had visions, including that of his own death.

Also, near death experiencers sometimes gain psychic abilities, but I've learned that they often misuse or abuse the ability...and continue to practice even after the abilities have left them.

I want answers... Now more than ever...!

Sorry, but put yourself on the 'fakes' list. You are zero correct, though correct in a majority of American households - good strategy, but epic fail. (sorry it took a while to answer - I was too tired after writing the thread and went off to bed...)

But to qualify you for further enlightnment on the topic, do you believe humans have a soul, or scientifically speaking, a sub-space mind?

After hearing about the near-death experience phenomenon I absolutely do believe in the eternal soul.

See this if anyone doubts the soul:
