Yep. I was meditating silently with a friend after smoking some good weed and free-base cocaine. Reality became like a lucid dream. For a moment a was The Dreamer and awake.

thoughts appreciated

yes. hundreds of times, but I was born with the 'ability'.

i no longer do it. THere is nothing to be gained from the experience unless you're just trying to prove to yourself that you are more than a body.

there are 'rules' believe it or not when travelling ob.

exploration, is fine...etc. but if you try to use it to make money...you will be fighting a losing battle.

if you want to do it.

read JOURNEYS OUT OF THE BODY BY ROBERT MONROE.

he was the absolute real deal and pioneer in obe.
His approach was honest and straightforward...and his results were shocking.

Only in the dream state and it's only happened on 2-3 occasions 1dunno1.

What I mean by that is having dreams in which I was experiencing consciousness by had no physical body.

accidently had one,and had never even heard of it,but i had the worst cold, trying to sleep sitting up,but kept waking up every ten seconds from pain.then i awoke by my door, thinking, huh? i must be sleepwalking, tried to open the door,my hand went through it,i panicked and saw me in the bed, then huge tug on my back and i woke up back in my body still saying "oh my God" over and over,so maybe no sleep and pain does it,i don't know.

Re: has anyone here self induced an OOBE( out of body experience) either with drugs or something else?
I have several books on Astral Projection but the one that has the easiest and most effective formula for doing it is The Practical Guide to Astral Projection by Denning and Phillips. If you look on amazon, you can get a used copy dirt cheap. And the reviews are pretty amusing, you can read about all the 'tards who couldn't do it and are pissed off so they gave it one star. I gave this book to a friend of mine who was able to do the technique and get out of his body, too.

I've used their Formula One technique many times. It involves visualizing the chakras being lit up, one by one, by a light coming down from above. You spend a few minutes on each one, and then visualize some energy flows. It really works. What happens with me is that I'll do the exercise right before I go to bed. They have you doing it standing up, which I did in the beginning, but now I only do it lying down. Then I make the suggestion to myself that I will get out during my sleep. Then I go to sleep. What usually happens is that I'll be in the middle of a dream and realize I'm dreaming, that I'm "out" and then I start making myself fly or move around. That's about all you can do, because as soon as you start thinking too hard, you wake up. So I learned to just start flying and try not to think about anything. It gets easier each time.

You shouldn't mess around in the astral worlds, though. It's one thing to do it to prove to yourself that it can be done, and the flying is fun. But astral entities aren't necessarily any smarter or any nicer than the odd person on the street. You could mess up your energy being around the wrong ones. It's complicated, just read up on it.

Also, going through doors and walls is fun, you just go up to one and "wish" yourself through it. It feels like walking through a wall of water, really cool. Even if you don't fly, just keep moving and try not to think too hard about what to do or you'll wake up. At least get good at getting out before you start trying to think. Flying can also be tricky because if you get really high, you may be afraid you'll fall and if you think that hard enough, you will start to fall and that will wake you up as soon as you hit. Try to stay in your dreaming mind and not use your rational, conscious mind or it's almost impossible to stay asleep.

that's not oobe!
oobe is when you can standup while you body is still lying and haunt your neigbours like a ghost.

you need to look up Roburt Monroe products. He put out a CD
Set that used sound waves to induce OBEs I tried them and they
worked. The sound waves put your body to sleep and keep
Your mind awake. It works well.

I can confirm this. Monroes system works. Even without the sounds the methods work.

Another is based on Liber O using yoga and visualization.

Both of these methods work and are drug free. The drugs technically work, but introduce noise and reduce your overall control.

Yes I was about 100 feet away from my body. I was looking around and it was so peaceful and then I saw that I was attached to what looked like an unbilicle chord which was coming out of this body off in the distance that was having convulsions. As soon as I realized it was me and if that cord broke I would never be able to get back I shot into my body instantly.

"no, they are demonic possessions claiming to be oob."
That is straight bullshit.

OOBE, NDE and lucid dreaming are all the same thing. There is nothing dangerous about it, and everyone can do it. Without drugs. There are many sites on the net to teach you, but here is the path that works for everyone:

Sleep 6 hours, wake up for 15 minutes, then go back to sleep. Tell yourself you want to lucid dream and focus on that. It's that easy. It works for everyone, usually the first time.afro

Yeah, you can titillate yourself with some fictionalized account, like that murder show on TV in which the star doesn't know when he's dreaming. The truth is that you always know when its a dream if you are that conscious in the dream.

Or, you can take the real step and learn to lucid dream and change your life. We have a name for ourselves in real life; we are called Onieronauts. That's cooler than your name, right?

WBTB, or Wake Back To Bed is how it is done. Sleep 6 hours, up for 15 minutes, back to bed. It will change your life, better than reading a stupid horror fiction. Good luck with that.afro
