That is a WOW ! How long did it take you to restore it?
 Quoting: tiger1

I purchased the vehicle while stationed in the United Kingdom back in 1982 it had been in a barn for years and needed a good cleaning and polishing and mechanically only new brakes and tires.

Currently the leather seats could use changing and that is all we do all the mechanical work ourselves because the vehicle is positive grounded and only a professional restorer understands that.

If you look at, the front of the vehicle you will notice it can be hand crank started, I drove the car into a service station in Maine years ago to purchase a battery, and the guy was baffled to find no battery as I left the battery in the boot (trunk).

After explaining positive ground three times, I assume he either thought that because I am a female that I must be confused or he did not understand the concept of positive ground anyway after it became apparent he was going to install the battery incorrectly I took over.

It was well worth the $500.00 to ship the vehicle back to the United States and I really wish that I had sent over the woody model also.

Not my ride. I had one when I was a kid. Now that I am older and have some loose change I may be in the market for one soon.
Love the lines on this year/model machine !!

Dude Glad you have it, glad your happy...But its not a 60's or 70's classic...

Everything past 1977 is a waste...1980's were horrible.

Not quite a "classic" yet, but my car is my favorite. 1992 Acura Integra.

Re: Classic Car Favorites
IMO, most 1980's were dogs, except for the full size luxury cars of the very early 1980's. I have owned two 1983 Cadillacs, and now have the 1983 Buick. I find them an absolute pleasure to drive, and I love having lots of room, and plenty of metal around me. I think after the early 1980's, the car companies just got sloppy, and put any product out there without regards to style.
Even though a Caddy is generally a sleeker, more eye appealing car, with a better ride, I really prefer my Buick.
My Buick not only looks fairly good, even though the old girl got a bit of a beating when she was rear-ended by a big old Chevy SUV, the handling and performance of the Buick cannot be rivaled by any other car I have ever owned.
Of all the old classics I have had from the 1960's-early 1980's,IMO, the 1983 Buick is one of the best cars GM ever made. Not the prettiest or the most sought after, but definately tops in my book.

I prefer GM, but the Ford Galaxie was a very nice ride ! My friend had a 1965 convertable. You could pile a lot of people into it to go to the ski slopes, and other fun places we went to as teenagers.

OP, I like your style. My dream car would be a '67 Caddy ragtop.

[link to www.futureclassicsnj.com]

Best I ever owned was a '71 Caddy hearse. That thing was a boat, but the 472 pulled strong, even up the rockies across I-70.
