IMO, most 1980's were dogs, except for the full size luxury cars of the very early 1980's. I have owned two 1983 Cadillacs, and now have the 1983 Buick. I find them an absolute pleasure to drive, and I love having lots of room, and plenty of metal around me. I think after the early 1980's, the car companies just got sloppy, and put any product out there without regards to style. Even though a Caddy is generally a sleeker, more eye appealing car, with a better ride, I really prefer my Buick. My Buick not only looks fairly good, even though the old girl got a bit of a beating when she was rear-ended by a big old Chevy SUV, the handling and performance of the Buick cannot be rivaled by any other car I have ever owned. Of all the old classics I have had from the 1960's-early 1980's,IMO, the 1983 Buick is one of the best cars GM ever made. Not the prettiest or the most sought after, but definately tops in my book.
