Seriously, I am thinking of investing in this as a side business. Is it worth my time and investment?

If you want to do this, heres some tips from my experience.

First off any starting point financially will work. However having a business card and flyers help you expand in affiliates that want to sell, but want someone like you to do it for them. 20% of the takehome / profit is a good charge for this service...

Ebay vs craigsist

Ebay, sell only: rare custom items with high value take in note everything you list should be under 50 pounds, and no bigger than a coffin.. (shipping prices kill)!!! . Any larger items need to be sold locallly.

Items are usually best found to sell at: thrift stores, wholesale lots, pawnshops, and estate sales.

Use the ebay feature "recently sold" feature (which you get to have free with starting an account), use this feature to see what items are selling for ahead of purchasing them, so you dont spend too much on it and it becomes a total loss. Never buy until your sure you will make a profit.

I can go to any pawn shop for example, and write down every item and modle number in the store, then once im done, i go home hop online, and see what they are selling for, if i see somethin i can make a good profit on, i go back the next or same day, and i buy it.

Never buy prior to knowing!!!

Also most items are being sold fom distributers online, stuff like cables for cellphones, or xmas lights dont sell. You gotta find, name brands, or rare/vintage inventory.

No cheap shit. No dirty, or damaged shit.

Clothes are cheap to buy, and ship if they are in good condition. But take great pics, and buy a cover sheet or maniquin to display them. Always have great pics! Give good honest reviews. And you will excel in sales. Never rip anyone off, or fail to list a defect. People read comments and wont buy from you.!

Ive paid1.00 for a zippo and sold it for 270.00
Ive paid75.00 for a guitar and sold it for1000.00

Good pics and feedback are key to those profits!

Also ckeck shipping prices and make sure you list them well.

Sell cars locally on craigslist, and boats, furniture, ect.
(Too big/costly to ship)

Any quesions.

Fyi i make 5-25k month on ebay.
