Group of geologists led by David Pyle from the University of Oxford, United Kingdom reported an unusually high speed filling the magma of reservoir under the Santorini supervolcano in the Aegean Sea, Greece. Santorini - is acting thyroid volcano on the island of Tyre, also known as Thera in the Aegean Sea, the eruption of which killing Aegean towns and villages on the islands of Crete, Tyre, and the Mediterranean Sea about 1645 BC - 1500 BC (according to various estimates). On power eruption of Santorini had 7 points, which is comparable with the eruption of Tambor and 3 times stronger, than the eruption of Krakatoa. It is considered, that the eruption destroyed the Minoan civilization on the island Crete and caused a huge tsunami of about 100 meters, the ash cloud extended to 200-1000 km...
