GERMANS, what were/are you taught in school about Hitler, WWII, Holocaust?

I am nearly 40 years old. In my time , they told us, that we germans start the war against Poland, and declared war on England, France and the USA.
The Allies were the people who free´d us from the nazi regime.
In the 80is , they told us, that they were the best people in the world, and that all german soldiers were brutal, with no heart.
And the holocaust was because Hitler was jealous ,cause the jewish people were more inteligent and more rich.

Btw, they told us, that we are still guilty. Dunno if they teach it still in school.


We arent able to discuss this topic openly , cause its not allowed in germany.

Perhaps those wars were initiated by the Bavarian Illuminati from their headquarters in the USA?

Ive seen a documentary on a professor teaching his students about "forced labor" in Renania, havin lot of troubles accessing official docs of the period. Plus many parents retired their sons from the class when realized him was a liberal...I think u guys need to make peace with ur past, but if "u" still consider the "cospirators" were traitors,"u" as a social corpse have a long way to go

It's a pity, really, that the guilt is ongoing like that. I mean, it was a generation ago. This new generation of people should be allowed to start anew.

And besides, Germany learned some stiff lessons through the two wars, so I don't think they would ever try to launch any wars of conquest ever again.

I've been to Cologne and Dusseldorf and a few other places in Germany, and I found the Germans to be fantastic people. I had a great time there. So much culture and history in Germany, as well as the stunning landscapes. It's a pity that people have to spoil things with war.

I talk often to older people cause my job. They were really young at this time. Schools and hospitals were shooted by brit Fighterplaned all the times. The kids needed to jump in bushes, cause the brits wanted to kill the kids.

American soldiers were different. They were nice from what i heard. Dunno about russians, cause i live in Cologne, far away from Berlin.

My Grandfather was in Africa with Rommel, he said that Rommel was a nice guy. He was playin cards with the normal soldiers he said.

About the holocaust. Nobody i talked,were aware of it. They didnt know it. They know that the jewish people in the towns, moved to another place or needed to leave the country. But thats it.

Proll they lie , i dont know. But its interesting to talk to those people who were there. Its different to the History the MSM tells us.

I worked in both educational Systems,
the German as well as the Japanese,
the young Students in Germany still
get a lot of Input and they "need" to think
about the WW.2 and the Holocaust
but here in Japan it is only a tiny Block,
a Semester in the Junior High School!

In Germany it is one of the main Topics
and i think this is the Way for every Nation!

I hold great Hope for the young Germans
+ the Children of the Immigrants,
to talk with young Muslims about the Holocaust

Staring a new should include the right to starting wars. As long as Germany is not alowed to starting wars its still under guilt.

In school (around the end of the 1970s), our teacher showed us films and pictures of heaps of dead and tortured KZ inmates, mass graves, skeletons. You know that kind of b/w pictures.

Kind of weird showing this stuff to boys and girls at the age of 12. There was always an unspoken accusation in the classroom, like "LOOK at how bad you are". It was preposterous... as if WE, born 20 years after the end of WWII, were responsible for this shit.

They do it, so you hate Germany. And love jewish people.

Germany did not start the war.

Germany did not declare war on Britain or France and only declared war on the US because we were illegally violating neutrality laws by aiding the Brits in the Atlantic and providing arms. That in addition to mutual aid agreements with Japan.

Why would they want to? Do people learn nothing from past mistakes? Unless it's for self defense, which is different of course.

Why would they want to start wars otherwise? This goes for all countries, not just Germany.

I wish it were so in the UK now. Lately because of multicultural political correctness, the Crusades, WW1 & WW2 are hardly mentioned in schools.

Teachers don't want to offend anyone, so wars are off the radar and replaced with "we are all the same" shit.

Yes, he did....at the outset.

But that doesn't alter the fact that he ultimately led his nation to ruin....by his greed and his willingness to sacrifice his own people for a lost cause, even when he knew it was a lost cause....such as not permitting his troops to surrender or retreat at places such as Stalingrad.

Ultimately he proved that he cared nothing for his own people. And even at the end, in his bunker, he ordered his people to keep on fighting and dying even when it was hopeless. And he declared something along the lines of "If Germany can't win the war, and is going to go under, then I want to bring the whole world down with it."

Not a very nice chap, on the whole...

That didn't really work out for them as planned... because even as a kid you instinctively know when the grownups want you to think or feel in a certain way... when they want to manipulate you. Back then of course I had no idea about the "why", but the whole affair smelled rotten.
