We covered alot of the basics in this thread here: Thread: History of Mankind - For Beginners Genesis chapter 1 verse 1 reads "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth." verse 2 says "Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters." The beginning of what? which God? Why does it read heavenS and not heaven? and what is the SPIRIT of God? Explain these first. No mumbo jumbo please. The beginning of what? The beginning of creating the physical world, the world that we live in.which God? The Father and the Son, Jesus Christ.
Why does it read heavenS and not heaven? Our atmosphere is referred to as a "heaven" in the Bible, and space or the universe is also refered to as a "heaven" in the bible. The Bible speaks of 3 things called "heavens". Our sky, outter space, and the spiritual heaven where God lives.
and what is the SPIRIT of God? The Holy Spirit.Holy Spirit???? But what is the Holy Spirit???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????/
