political correctness is a doctrine.... fostered by a delusional, illogical minority...... and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media; which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

RIVERSIDE, Calif. (KABC) -- Authorities are investigating a foul odor that has been reported across the Inland Empire and the Valley on Monday.

Redlands fire officials say it's likely from the decaying Salton Sea. Residents from Simi Valley and Calabasas to Moreno Valley and San Bernardino said the smell was like a rotten egg.

In Sylmar, teachers at Osceolo Elementary School kept students indoors as a precaution due to the smell. Some students were reporting minor stomach aches.

From the duplicate thread...

Salton Sea explanation doesn't make sense to me.

Wouldn't this happen often if that were the case, being that the Salton Sea just doesn't suddenly generate this smell, but smells bad 100% of the time?

Storm systems move through the area all the time; it would be logical to assume that a great deal of them would pick up "the smell" and carry it.

I'm with EAT on this one, I'll be watching the seismographs closely for the next day or so.

Yes been hearing it for now everynight a strange humming sound, but nobody seems to care, all too connected to their ipods and phones, sad world we live in when nobody looks up anymore nor watches the earth, the animals or has that connection to all living things anymore. And no I am not old but a young person whom loves the Creator and respects the earth and the animals in it. I feel deep within my soul there is a great cleansing coming upon the earth, a purification. We lost our power most areas here last night for no reason at all. It's been terribly dry for some time now but thank the Father we got some rain last night. But too much weirdness going on in this area yet nobody seems to be awake or aware.

The problem is the volcano activity that has been occurring stretching down to South America. Magma may very well be moving.

This explains the smell

[link to www.youtube.com]
Torchia was born in 1620. He was apprenticed in Leyden under the Elzevir family. After returning to Venice he published small works on philosophical and esoteric themes. In 1666, Torchia published De Umbrarum Regni Novem Portis (The Nine Doors to the Kingdom of Shadows), which was in turn based on the Delomelanicon, or Invocation of Darkness, a work supposedly written by Lucifer and that would allow the reader to summon devils. The Inquisition condemned Torchia for magic and witchcraft and burned him at the stake in 1667.

That statement really bothers me. Is it a natural smell or what. Children getting sick is a huge concern.

Re: California STINK = imminent earthquake?
Here is why you should be concerned.

The reported smellings are occuring near the base of mountain ranges (northern SF Valley, Inalnd Empire).

The molecular weight of hydrgen sulfide is greater than air so it sinks.

That and the odd activity at Pendlleton mentioned on another thread tells me something may be going on in the mountains.

If anybody there at Big Bear or Arrowhead sees ground deformation please report.

I'm currently attempting to activate my third eye with daily meditation. With pretty meager results so far...

However, I did get two images flashing through my mind today.

1. a hill or small vulcano exploding.

2. two people kissing, in a kinda gross way actually.

The first could be an upcoming seismic event. The second is anyone's guess. Is there a place known for sexually gross people in this region?

(The relevance of this post is probably close to zero, but hey, it's GLP! You guys need to know!)
