Re: Dog acting weird...anyone else?
Before the earthquakes and tsunamis in other countries there were reports of animals acting weird before hand to if I remember right?.... Hopefully nothing will happen or if it does that we will all have warning...

I pray that you will all be safe if anything does happen. Also always please remember that (I know some here may not be Christian) but Jesus is always willing to accept anyone no matter who you are or what you have done, whenever you wish to come to Him and accept Him as your Lord and Savior because He loves you.

I agree, let's stay on discussion. But whenever someone throws out that fundie Christian BS, I have no choice but to tell them that Jesus never existed.

I am asking others "How are you personally feeling, aside from your pets? Are you personally feeling more anxious or nervous than normal since the past 3 days?"

I am glad this thread was created.. I live in MD Have two dogs Brother/sister and they have been acting very strange.. They usually eat anything and the past week they have hardly touched their food.. Also the male dog has been sleeping next to me in bed when usually he just passes out on the couch. Both are being overly Protective which is unusual..Good to see others experiencing some similar stuff.. Cheers and much love my friends

Here in NW Washington near WWU, birds are mostly quiet during the daytime recently, usually they are noisy and happy, especially the sparrows. The neighbors dogs seem unusually protective of those people they know (besides their own family).

Central Florida here. My mother lives a couple of mile from me. She called me yesterday to complain about her dog behaving very nervous. She has 15 year old beagle mix. At one point he managed to get into her vehicle and would not get out. He hates car rides so he has never done anything like that.

cali WILL get it again one day, but you cant just upsticks, particularly if you have kids

like the OP said, be aware and make preparations in case, but you got to get on with life without fear

My 3 year old this month chocolate lab/pointer mix has been acting very strange the last few days. Shes been wandering around the house acting for lack of a better term "nervous". If me, the wife, or kids go to leave the house she acts almost panicky, as if she doesnt want us to leave. If one of us does leave, she sits in our bay window watching the driveway until they come back home. Shes always been protective but not like this...anybody elses dog been acting quirky?

Here we are, it's 5am here in boulder, co and tonight awoke at 1am and 3am and have had this past week or so.
I envy that peace in India, I open the sliding back door and the night is noisy between the loud train horns and another source electronic hooooo sound. Crickets are quiet. You know I don't even have the patience to sit outside for a smoke.
In a word I would say the atmosphere is just 'unnatural' like there's no space.
btw, I would be a poster child with uranus on my sun exactly .. somewhat oddly comforting to know other peeps/creatures feel it too. Thinking the exact SHTF aspect is actually september 27-30.
Peace and jollies despite it all Kiddies!

That's crazy, OP. I can't say much for any dogs I know, but I will say that I have been super anxious these past two days. Especially right now. I don't know why. I can't sit still and am really tense. It's different than my usual anxiety issues. I don't feel right, you know?

Me too. I never drink, and tonight i had a couple drinks because i cant sleep. Its 2am my time i usually go to bed 11-12ish but tonight i feel like my minds in overdrive.

Sounds like he is trying to communicate with her to get in the car and get them the hell out! Maybe you guys should take a family outing. No need to stress anybody out but chuck your emergency backpack in the car (& lots of water!)and make it sound like a crazy, fun, spontaneous trip to wherever it is that seems safer (and reasonable). It's obviously not that easy to do depending on the size of your family, but it might not be a bad idea. Seems to be what the beagle wants!

Good luck to you all. Take heed of the signs and act with prudence, not hysteria.

Yes, that's fair -- trash someone for bringing in a spiritual angle to the discussion but wax poetical about how spiritually 'peaceful' India is. Because, of course, that's not at all being hypocritical. Not at all.

Hypocrite.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 22850175

Look again please. India only said 'peaceful' not as you say 'spiritually peaceful'.
Peaceful implies a lack of outer interference and does not refer to your conceptual subtitle.
She did not say that.

Once more, please stay on topic re personal and animal restlessness. :)

It's good to see that others are also reporting the same thing.

So everyone's pets are acting strange and nervous, that is now proven.

Are any humans here experiencing a higher than normal level of anxiety over the past couple of days? I am.

I guess something big is coming. A huge earthquake, tsunami, world war, who knows, but something is coming.

Who else feels this way?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 23577705

I've been feeling this for two days now. I told my husband that what I am feeling is like the air before a big thunderstorm....still, heavy, oppressive. It has been steadily building over the two days. Last night I started feeling a nervous energy, too.

Our lazy cat has been tearing around the house for the last day. She just races and races. It is really odd behavior for her. Our dog is acting totally normal, though.

In the northern Great Lakes region.

That occurred to me as well. This dog has twice warned us of a fire in moms house. Once a heating pad was left on and started to smolder, another time there was an electrical fire in the walls. The dog barked at the wall and ran around in circles, did the same with the heating pad.

I have 7 cats, normally they all get along great as 5 are from the same litter (4 years old) 1 is a product of bro/sis before I had them all spayed and neutered, and the last is 7 yrs old. Almost a month ago they started getting very anxious. When I'm home they usually will all be in the same room w me and my kids. The oldest Bear is the only cat I have that has been outside. Lately he acts very frantic wanting to go outside.

I leave a webcam on when I leave (due to untrustworthy neighbors) and when I replay it back they "pace" alot.

I live in Iowa. As far as feeling anxious myself. I get major anxiety feelings between 9pm and 11p. I feel alot of uneasiness during this time period.

Animals not just Dog/Cats know and sense things we are not able to.I am curious if people with OTHER animals see anything else unusual. Eating habits, walking, tension, etc.

No way I could sleep and was very restless, tossing and turning and had no notion of sleeping.....and I'm here in the Big City and ain't close to y'all. (My two pups and wife were sleeping pretty good.)

Your post was happening at the same time as my last post, but you made me think of something. Our pups sleep with us and they get along fine. For some reason, when they first came to bed they wanted to find a close spot to us and started fighting....very unusual for them. We had to spray water in their face to settle them down, but then they slept like babies.
