China now sells live crabs in vending machines. CRUEL and WRONG

That chinese guy / girl is 100% percent correct!
Even in Sweden pigs and calfs are transported for 100's of miles in stresssfull conditions.
Much worse than selling live crabs, though I do not condone that either.

That's actually pretty cool if you asked me. Now I have to buy my fresh crabs from the grocery store where they are piled 3-4 deep in a big tank... so stressed out that their claws have to be banded shut.

Sleepy crabs are better.

You've clearly never been to a wholesale fish market, which ALL deal in LIVE fish/crabs/crayfish etc - they pack them in layers on ice, unable to move.

I'm way impressed though that the UK proffers each crab, and each fish, it's own little seawater respirator to allow them to breath easy, on top of the fact you give them their own little room, replete with ensuite and fridge full of plankton. You guys rock.

It seems that if a human being can catch it, then the Chinese will eat it.

This is why it makes it ok since one of the laws of the universe is "you reap what you sow", "do to another what you want done to you".
It is just an experience, that is all..... and if it is ok with you to do so to another, you will have done to you something very similar and when you know this, how could it be wrong????

This is how crabs are kept fresh. They have to be alive when cooked. While crabs are on the boat they pile all the crabs into a containment area where they're put on ice, which puts them into a state of hibernation just like this machine is doing. To say they can't move is kind of pointless since at those temperatures they won't be moving anyway.

lol at all the folks screaming foul over this. It is not any different than how food is treated everywhere else, in fact these crabs are getting pretty good treatment compared to how a lot of seafood is kept alive/fresh everyday all around the world. Then there's the good 'ol American factory farm for chickens, pigs, and cattle - much worse conditions than most could imagine. But hey, its China so thats all the reason many tards around here need to pile on with the rest of the herd.
